Virgin SBT?

in Credit cards
I have just received my Virgin CC, and wish to SBT into my current account. According to the T&C's a Cash transaction will incur a 15.9% charge, however, a cheque transaction is 0.0%. I believe I read somewhere that I should write a cheque to myself and cash it in at no cost . Is this correct?
I will have to request for some cheques though as none where sent through witht the card.
Cheers,
Japmark

A SBT is free of charge in your promotional period. I just did one yesterday and was assured that was the case and the 1 i did 2 weeks ago was also free. Writing a cheque WILL incur a 2% charge though.0

Cheques will arrive a couple of days after your card, or at least mine did!!
Very very helpful staff on their help line by the way.

How do I perform an SBT from Virgin? if I don't write a cheque to myself, as I cannot find anywhere on there website that can do this to my current account.0

You can only do a transfer to your current account by phoning them.0

I have applied for my Virgin 0% card - my first ever attempt at stoozing! Still waiting to hear from them. Will I be asked to provide evidence of the 'loan' I want to SBT from?If it was easy, everyone would do it!0

No, but you may have to answer some extra "general" questions if, like me, you ask them to double their initial credit limit offer. I told them I had an "overdraft" and some "other" debts to settle, and had no trouble at all.Jacster wrote:I have applied for my Virgin 0% card - my first ever attempt at stoozing! I didn't hear anything for about 10 days after the on-line application. Received my application form to sign yesterday and returned it this morning. Should receive the card in a few days.0
