    Morning all.

Ill catch up with the thread in a mo.

Just a quick question. How can I get old sticky cello tape marks off a uPvc window frame. Have tried white vinegar and also cif. Neither have got it off. Some has come away. This might be from last years Xmas lights. :o

    Thanks

    Lisa x

Try a little nail varnish remover on cotton wool, I always use this when getting sticky labels of all sorts of things. Hth.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • I had toast and a piece of fruit for breakfast and then made a batch of vegetable pasta for lunch and there are leftovers for tomorrow.

I might be a bit naughty and have chips from the chippy for dinner as we have to take our dog for training class tonight and I feel like I need a reward for that as I find it quite stressful!:p

Low spend day for me though, only about £3 for two portions of chips and a local newspaper.:T

Or lighter fuel, the sort in little metal bottles with a retractable spout. I always buy it at carboot sales as it's only £1 and great for cleaning all kinds of things and super for removing sticky labels.

Oops bargainbird beat me to it, that will teach me to read everything before I type! :o

MrsMH I bought proper sticky stuff remover from Homebase, works like a charm.

  • Thanks for all your tips about removing the sticky tape residue. The wd40 hasn't worked. Am leaving. For now. Have none of the other suggestions in. X

Well, the weather is atrocious. Glad we are back in.

Toddler is still poorly. Have given him medicine but he is refusing to take any honey which might ease his cough.

Easy dinners tonight as is from the freezer. Fish and chips, or proper chicken nuggets. There's some veg to use so will cook that as well.

Did a bed yesterday and one today. Will do the other 2 beds over the next 2 days. Also washed the towels today.

All downstairs windows are cleaned. They look lovely.

Need to Hoover through downstairs and also do some ironing.

Have had a NSD today which I like.

Need to finish off my Xmas shopping though. Dunno what to get all my nieces and nephews. Have 7 nieces and 2 nephews. Ages from 13 down to 7 months.

Also all the out laws to buy for. I am going to make a rule next year to only buy for the children (apart from a present to the grandparents from the children)

  • Afternoon all
Thank you for all your birthday wishes, I had a beautiful card from hubby this morning & a beautiful bouquet arrived at work. It's still very busy at work and at lunchtime today I drew the short straw & ended up standing in the playground for 40 minutes in rain, hail & high wind. When I got home my skirt & hair were still wet & I've only just got warm.

Cheese palmiers, ready made puff pastry, sliced into small pieces, squash flat, sprinkle with grated cheese, bake 160 deg approx 15 mins til cheese melted & pastry starts to go crispy round the edges.

    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester
