Happy Birthday Hester :bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning all,

Good Lock to Louie for his op today, hope all goes well x
Off to work for me, need to pop into the Dr's and pick up a prescritction on the way.
Spag bol for dinner tonight, we have to take little god to the vets (ear infection) so dd can cook today.
Thanks for all the well wishes for my mum, she had a good day, and my dad managed to say Happy birthday to her, which made her day.
Ok better get on, have good days all xx0 -

Happy Birthday Hester and welcome Katy.
Morning all, very wet here this morning, but not too cold. I am going up to the big smoke for a meeting today, hate the traveling. Going there is not so bad as we are the top of the line so I get a seat, but on the way back I susually have to stand and it KILLS my back. I have tried taking pain killers before the journey home, but they don't seem to dent it.
Lunch is provided at the meeting and dinner will be a chicken wreath. With tomato salad if I can be bothered to stop at the shop on the way home. OH coming tonight so we may end up with a takeaway.

Morning everyone
HH - Happy Birthday - hope you have a great day x
Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Now getting light, its raining and very wet underfoot here this morning. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock.
Dinner last night was steak and kidney casserole with dumplings, mash, carrots, brussels and peas, desserts for those that had room. Haven't decided what's for dinner tonight as yet, may be fish - but have several different options so will organise something later. I'm pleased with how I got on yesterday, went to next town and got the xmas shopping almost done, just have the outlaws and nephew to sort (not difficult as outlaws get a voucher and nephew has money/cheque - I really don't like just giving money/vouchers but they don't bother about getting a prezzie they think my boys would like and after spending ages year after year finding nice stuff for them - they then complain that it's not right/they don't like it - so I don't bother anymore!) I was brought up to be grateful for any prezzie you were bought, it's not about who can spend the most etc! Outlaws are not my most favourite people at the moment as ongoing difficult situation with grandad (MIL's dad) and MIL's sister is still simmering!
Also got the xmas cake made yesterday, so fruit for the xmas puds has been soaking overnight and I will be making those this morning and getting them cooked, takes a while but is so worth it!
Will be tackling the washing, drying and ironing today, and also want to get the xmas prezzies wrapped and labelled so that will be another job to tick off the never ending "to do" list!
Have a great day everyone, stay safe and well x

morning to my online family.
Happy Birthday Hester, hope you have a lovely day.
Welcome Katy, you will not find a nicer bunch of people than these on here. Have got me through some extremely difficult periods in my life.Hope everyone is ok.
Its pi ssing down here very grey and dark outside, woofer wasn't content with a quick wee in the back garden so went over the fli pping field and now the house stinks of wet dog:mad:. He isnt allowed in the front room when he is wet so is in the hall and kitchen , windows are open to help illiminate the smell but god does it stink.
Parent evening tonight for ds3, so am bunging a chicken casserole in the slow cooker so it will be ready for when we get back, will have to ask dd to make the dumplings whilst we are there.
Ds2 starts his new job on Sat . Very excited for him . Another of the girls has left the course. Not sure if it was through her own choice or if she was forced to go so only one left for the uni to decide on. Hoping the police get back to him soon with an update .
So not alot going on today, Will have to wash the hall and kitchen floor as is now covered in muddy dog prints.
Have lovely days all.:)Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -
Good morning everyone
Happy Birthday Hester, I hope it's a lovely one :bdaycake:
Welcome Katykicker, this is a lovely place and everyone makes you very welcome. I love the general chat and the useful tips and the support that everyone gives to each other. There is not enough caring in the world today and this place makes you feel like people still do care :A
Dreadful weather and drive to work, pitch black and torrential rain all the way.
I feel very sorry for myself as I have a really sore throat and bad headache, I think it is divine retribution for mocking DH's man flu over the last couple of days
HM pea and ham soup for lunch and HM burgers, coleslaw and ciabatta for dinner.
I finished GDD's scarf/cowl last night and it's gorgeous so I may make a matching one for DD. I was worried that all the different wools may not sit well together but as I knitted it on big needles, it's very "floppy" and it all falls nicely.
Break over and time to get started, I need to move or I will not get anything done today so will leave with well wishes for sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Morning All
:bdaycake:Happy Birthday Hester
Welcome to Katie We always need more gossip:rotfl:
Did lots of productive things yesterday. Wrote a letter to Orange about my Dad's phone. HAve rung twice and emailed, no response so have resorted to letter writing. Also wrote to our local PCT as my MS nurse is retiring in January and we don't know if they are going to replace her. She is a fantastic specialist nurse, and my MS friends and I would find it hard without her/:o
Phoned T mobile too as I was due an upgrade, but didn't want one. I asked for the most minutes and texts for the least money. The lady said "We have a sim only deal which is 300 minutes, 5000 texts and 500 T mobile minutes for £10, and as you don't want a new phone you can have it for £8!" Result!:T So I have gone from £25 a month to £8!
16th December I am going to cancel Sky too, so that'll be another £37 a month saved.
Was going out to get my prescription, but aas it is raining I'll stay in.
I must look out for something to eat for dinner.
Enjoy the day!I Believe in saving money!!!:T
