Hello all, hope you don't mind me posting today, I do read every day but just don't post at all.

I had to say just how relieved I was to hear about the turnaround for uolypool's ds, it just shows that karma does happen and I hope he will be really happy in his new job and new uni. I don't understand why kids have to be so nasty nowadays but then thats the society we live in now. This morning I was late for work because I had to wait for my local post office to open. There was a queue of elderly people waiting so we started to natter and put right all the wrongs in the country as you do :) and you know, the person who runs the po finally arrived 20 mins late and no apology at all.

Well, in work again today which is quiet at the mo. Sometimes so quiet that I don't speak to a soul all day and so I spend all day on here reading. :D I'm currently half way through a Martina Cole book which is rivetting but very bloodthirsty, should have that finished by the time I go home :rotfl:.

Its wet and windy here in the midlands and dark, I've brought in my ryvita, blue cheese triangles and yoghurts for lunch (currently dieting) and will be having meat out of the freezer and salad for tea. I won't be spending at all today.

Happy Birthday to Hester, your baking last night sounded wonderful. All I want to do when I get home is curl up on the sofa and watch tv. I was in bed for 9 last night purely through boredom.

I printed off the cinamon buns recipe yday and will try those at the weekend.

Have a good day all. :)

    Happy Birthday to Hester

    :bdaycake:

You deserve a really good day and hope that you get it.

Waiting in for nurse to give dd her injection and dreading trying to jolly her along next week to start going to med centre to get them done.

Made dh his favourite breakfast and considering sweet potato and red pepper soup for lunch as we have not had that for ages. Might brave the rain to get meat out of freezer in garage for a meal tonight or might just make bacon, potato and onion bake tonight.

Went to take prescriptions to chemist yesterday afternoon and got completely soaked and need to go back today to collect some items .

Hoping to do some shopping online for Christmas as can't face busy stores and any hassle.

Welcome to katy and hugs to all who can do with them.

Don't worry, mate; the op's not as bad as all that. If it's the same one, I had it done ages ago, and just look at me now! Thought I'd use Auntie Wolfy's login to say hi, as I'm staying with her again for a few days.

Tiglath That is awful  don't forget to report it to the police because you will need a crime number for the insurance company.

Persisting down here today and I am not going anywhere. DH is on a course today straight after his shift, so he will not be home until this afternoon, then it will be straight back for his second shift.

Dinner tonight is shepherds pie with cauliflower cheese.

I don't have a link but it is basically par boiled potatoes, thinly sliced - sliced onions (softened in pan or microwave) - bacon chopped in little bits - layered in oven dish and cheese sauce over the top - grated cheese on top and half an hour or a bit more in oven. I sometimes cover the top with foil and then remove for last 10 mins to let it go golden rather than burnt - er - caramelised ;)

Have you tried WD40 on the marks?

FB I find Dec@thlon cheaper than anywhere for running stuff. Managed to get a brill waterproof jacket with luminous stripes for £12 and there stretchy tracky bottoms are only £8 a pair. Also they do tshirts that are breathable with long sleeves for £4.99 have a look on their website. Great if your not worried about makes.
Sorry if I've forgotten anyone, hugs and positive vibes where needed

Had an early dentist appt to have my teeth scaled and polished. I still have some pain not all the time but they seem to think things will settle down.
Managed to get quite a few admin jobs done yesterday for Dh, things like that make him stressed so glad we could tick them off the list that I made him write:p
I need to collect a Wedding Guest book today that I've promised to take to Australia with me and Dh needs a brown belt to go with his suit. I have a list of things to be done before we go and seem to be adding to it rather than crossing off.
Weigh in tonight so fingers crossed.
Tea will be the chilli I should have made last night.
    Have a great day J x
