I absolutely LOVE mine and use it at least twice a week (making 3 to 4 portions worth each time) Hubby loves having a mug of soup with his lunchtime sandwiches

    I was sceptical
    but I love mine.

It's just so easy and my Morphy Richards was worth every penny. (well mine was free as won some vouchers!
    LOL)

Just imagination needed to what soup can conjure up

  • I got one for my MIL (the Morphy Richards one) and she absolutely loves it. She uses it every day, she says most of her soup is cooked in twenty minutes. She loves the 'jug' style of the soup maker as it's easier to pick up than a saucepan with her arthritic hands.
  • I bought a cheapo microwave pressure cooker and it was useless ... and it generates a lot of steam that would fog a small kitchen up when you take the lid off ...

That's 2/2 who have tried and don't like the microwave pressure cooker, so that might help the OP.
I love my slow cooker for stews, but I don't like the taste of the soup at all. I make soup on the hob, and if I want it smooth I use a liquidiser.

I don't think you can beat a Pressure Cooker for making soup ................ but if I didn't have one, I'd probably go for a Soup Maker.

oops :o - I'd forgotten that I'd already posted on this thread ages ago :rotfl:.

I was given a soup maker for Christmas and I love it. Last night I made a soup from the left over veggies from the night before. At the moment I don't have a decent kitchen so I'm cooking on a two ring camping stove, and have a halogen oven, a combi microwave and a slow cooker.

I'm disappointed with the halogen. The slow cooker is sitting on top of the microwave gathering dust, and the microwave doesn't get used either as I've never been impressed with them.

In a couple of weeks I'll have a nice new kitchen and the only gadget out of that lot I'll be keeping to hand is the soup maker.
