It's just sitting there waiting for you to reclaim it you say? Better go and do it first thing Monday morning I would think, no sense in delaying.
Better still, maybe you should go and take your medication and reality might (I stress, might) kick in. Nighty night, I'm off now, this has been highly entertaining....0 -

I'm truly glad if the people affected by the Lothbury saga get some recompense from this, yes, even a daftie like you.
I am still finding it hard to believe that you will all be simply handed a cheque, but time will tell on that.
Better remember to keep at least 55% of the total money that you withdrew from your pension scheme (that is 55% of the original amount, not what you get back) for the unauthorised payment charge when HMRC come calling. Because you can bet that if there is one pensions liberation scheme that they will quickly pounce on, it will be a high profile one like this.0 -
Wilson Field will be going after the the delightful Mr Mack for their money.£190 per hour they charge for the office junior,£260 per hour for senior staff so it'll be a hefty bill.
He's going to need to have ripped off a big number from the new pension companies he set up to pay for this fiasco0 -

During a Radio 4 interview yesterday HMRC confirmed tax would be liable on whatever amount an individual received as a result of liberating their pension. E.g a £20k pension, liberated gives someone £10k they get taxed on the £10k not the £20k.0 -

Thanks for the information.
HMRC seem to be making this up as they go along. It even seems to contradict TPAS's new shiny leaflet that is being rolled out at the moment. I'm not saying this example is identical to Lothbury, but there are some basic similarities by the looks of things;

See the example of 'Meera' on page 3/4 of this link in particular the last sentence at the bottom of page 4 'Meera had to pay more than half of her original pension value in tax charges'0 -

wilson field may also go after kevin as it was him that instigated the administration proceedings0 -
