si it isnt people under occypying that ctually bothers you then?
what about all the poor overcrowded families that you were harping on about before?
Don't pretend you give a monkeys about them.or is it people getting houcing benefit and having the nerve to have an extra bedroom .... even if its not through chouce?
No-one forces anyone to sign a tenancy. Or to stay there.on the whole, the people accepting these 2 bedroom places arent in work at the moment, and so cant afford to rent privately.... because all the private lets are also 2 bed and would mean they would have to pay an even greater top up.
According to you, there are no 1 beds anywhere. Yet I seem to find them with ease. There was even a 2 bed private rent at just £2 over LHA. The reason you can't find them is because you don't want to.0 -
i never said there are none anywhere. but i dont live anywhere ... i live here!
and i viewed that 2 bed ... amd the reason it was cheap was obvious!
as a disabled person, ot was unsafe and in a dsigusting condition!
yest you feel its reasonable for people to give up #homes# theyre not just houses/f;ats .... that theyve taken care of and loved ... and move into a virtual slum?0 -

yes ... the one i viewed with my socail worker. he actually called it a 'death trap'
with stairs like everest and a downstairs toilet.
it had been repainted ... but no one had baothered to clean it first!
i viewed it in september last year and it still hasnt been let.
you dont need to be a brain surgeon to work out why.0 -

Oh, and it's been advertised for 38 days.0 -
yes .... the stairs are incredibly steep...it does appear to have been redecorated simce the last time i looked at the details.
there were threadbare carpets and the kitchen cupboards were filthy with no door handles and broken doors.
regardless of the condition though ...
it isnt suitable for someone who has a visual disability, just because the stairs are so steep and the toilet is downstairs
or should we just have to live anywhere?0 -

I fail to see why a downstairs toilet would be a particular issue for the sight impaired. Please enlighten me.0 -
using the stairs in the dark,,,,
i ten not to be anle to see much during the day ,,, but without natural light, i see almost nothing
ive spent my life savings ( about 3k so not a lot) making the flat i live in meet my needs as best i cN.
i am happy with the area ... all amenities are on hamd.
the property you showed was unsuitable and a good distance from the nearest shop etc.
i will accept that you cant be expected to understand how important familiarity is to someone that has a visual impairment.
i have lived in the current property but an still walking into walls... misjudging distance etc
yiu really have no comprehension of how difficult a position I and many others like me are in.
so instead of repeating your mantra of 'pay up or move'
why dont you just be wuiet because you arent actually saying anything useful0 -

Showing you the options is useful, I would have thought. But if that one is unsuitable, how about.....

All on one level and couldn't be any closer to the shops.... AND below the 1 bed LHA rate so no top up to pay at all.0 -
i dont even know where meden vale is,
and we have already dicussed the need for security that dianled people have over and above non disabled people.
youre trying to prove a point,,, but it isnt a points scoring game ... its peoples lives0
