Hello TM:wave:Awaiting a new sig0 -
Keep your eye out in bigger branches of M and S.
I was going in to collect my 8 pairs of knicks for 50p and there was a girl at the door handing out vouchers for free Birthday card of yor choice. I went past her 6 times and got six vouchers. I have already got three cards total price £7.50 - yes one of the cards would normally have cost £3.50:eek::eek:
This was in Don Place in belfast.never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -
I do it because I want it and can use it but also because I admit it does give me a bit of a buzz:oPlus it saves an absolute fortune. But I have fillers that I probably won't use and choccies that I've been lucky enough to get so it will actually also give me a buzz to think I'm in the position to help someone else. I always get stuff with the intention of using it (I genuinely leave stuff alone that I know I'll never use) but as every good MSE'er knows, you can sometimes overestimate the amount you can "actually" use:rotfl:
i have bought a few choccies and biccies, the dates are good and it will save us a few pounds when it comes to gifts for family, teachers etc, it's nice to have some treats in the house for my own family too though, so not giving them all away.
know what you mean about overestimating what you will use though nikki my OH is still eating honey shreddies we got free with coupons last year:) in my defence it was my first ever free item with coupons, still taste fine, just don't check the date on the packaging :rotfl:mmm..... these strawberries make my breath happy mum ds
On a strand of pure silver, I'll welcome each day

So with some of the comments made this evening about giving things away, am I right in thinking that some people are getting some of the glitches simply for the thrill of glitch, not because they need/want it?
I am in no position to judge given we have enough chocolates/biscuits for presents for most of next year (I see them as an advanced purchase/saving) ... though we may need to make some more friends to give them to as I have a safety net.
I have to remind myself that there is a cost, even if it is time (including not spending the time doing other stuff)/petrol/fillers. I am guilty of getting carried away and spending far too much time on this - even checking this thread - but there are worse ways to spend time as it is an interesting hobby, and when I take time out I miss out on fantastic glitches.

Can honestly say I don't need those fillers, but the glitch items have been fabulous0 -
Can I ask if anyone knows of a food bank around Belfast. I have been buying non perishable stuff for the past month or so to donate, but I am actually having problems finding somewhere! Ideally I would like to donate to somewhere in E Belfast but don't mind really. I don't want to take it to one of the supermarket collections because I have got them from different places and have about 8 full bags! any help would be appreciated as I didn't think it would be this hard to find somewhere. TIA
I have been donating mine to the salvation army in Belfast0 -

If you want any info just let me know as I'm up there most weeks and even if there's no-one at the actual food bank (a portacabin at the front of the church) the church doors are generally unlocked and you can drop off in the foyer.
Does anyone know where I can drop off for a womens refuge in or around Belfast? I'm guessing the address of the actual refuge isn't publically available but if anyone knows where there's somewhere I can drop off stuff I'd appreciate it.
I drop off stuff to the rape crisis centres charity shop in east Belfast
ETA they are seriously underfunded and so very grateful for any donations.0 -
