However, it is bloody cold out there at the moment and there is a homeless guy who sleeps in a sheltered spot near where i park my bicycle each day. It is seeing him packing up his kit each morning that has made me think about the plight of homeless people in my area and how easy it is for us "bargain getters" to help people like him.
As i said earlier, homeless people have to beg or pay full price for everything. We, the elite, have all got computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones which allow us to take advantage of everything that they cannot. How many of us have got pdf copies of the ww voucher?? Although, as l has posted, it is perhaps slightly against the rules, if enough of us do it, the uk's homeless might have a better christmas than they might have hoped for.
Go on, try it, the worst that can happen is that you get trouted, the best is that the homeless get 6 meals and you get a £3+ apg.;);)

They should be clapping hands but they look weird!Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
And get lots of glitches!0 -

... or you could donate some of your FF/G&B/MT stash to those running the homeless shelter either as treats for over Christmas or as prizes for fundraisers (raffles etc).

I see there is more embittered tripe on the forum tonight- ignore and don't feed themThose of you who are giving to the foodbanks ....good for you. There are wee kids out there who will benefit- hard to believe but there are kids who have never experienced a santa claus present. Those among us who have experienced real hardship first hand know what I am talking about. I am a bit lazy and just send stuff into school and they make up the hampers. Because of some of the ideas on here this evening I am going to up my efforts and find a local needy place. Thanks for ideas:)
.i give to the local homless center for age between 16 and 21 they are always happy for any food and know they know me they let me cook meals and take down for they to eat they have 9 beds but feed up to 30 youngster a day.they also take towels beading clothes shoes (all washed and clean) books and cleaning products, soap etc.
it breaks my heart to leave when i have been in there position and was so glad of the helpits only right to give back , if you cant give food/things , your time is just as importants ,0 -

My local food bank will take just about anything. I asked them about all the cheap filler sweets and they said they keep them back for the kids so they got a massive bag in time for Halloween. I'm currently stashing my sweets and some biscuits to drop off in the next week or two in time for Xmas.
Can I ask if anyone knows of a food bank around Belfast. I have been buying non perishable stuff for the past month or so to donate, but I am actually having problems finding somewhere! Ideally I would like to donate to somewhere in E Belfast but don't mind really. I don't want to take it to one of the supermarket collections because I have got them from different places and have about 8 full bags! any help would be appreciated as I didn't think it would be this hard to find somewhere.
