Well Jay (the cat) is now telling me he wants his bed, Rebecca (the dog) has been in bed for 2 hours now, so guess it is time I retired, have a good night, and be good.

So with some of the comments made this evening about giving things away, am I right in thinking that some people are getting some of the glitches simply for the thrill of glitch, not because they need/want it?

I am in no position to judge given we have enough chocolates/biscuits for presents for most of next year (I see them as an advanced purchase/saving) ... though we may need to make some more friends to give them to as I have a safety net ;).

I have to remind myself that there is a cost, even if it is time (including not spending the time doing other stuff)/petrol/fillers. I am guilty of getting carried away and spending far too much time on this - even checking this thread - but there are worse ways to spend time as it is an interesting hobby, and when I take time out I miss out on fantastic glitches.

As I'm now diabetic, a reformed drinker and don't tend to eat any processed food for health reasons I don't actually get any direct enjoyment from the bulk of the stuff I get. DW also doesn't eat much choc or drink much. DD is allergic to chocolate but doesn't mind a drop or two of wine. So why have I been getting so much choc/biscuits and now wine etc lately? I guess it;s partly a cost saving for the sake of cost saving (as most stuff is given to friends/family as additional presents) and partly a buzz. Once we sort out what is to be given to family etc then some is taken to work by OH for staff/students as a morale booster. At this time of year my conscience(and the comments tonight:o) will lead me to giving some to charity.:)
