Hi everyone,
I've not updated for a while but just looked at my online banking & totted it up, I've spent £148.71 out of my £200 budget so doing ok for halfway through the month!
I splurged a little & have bought some goodies from M+S for Xmas...butter basted turkey breast wrapped in bacon with pork, sage & onion stuffing, pigs in blankets & I made use of their 3 for 2 offer on puddingsSo that was a whopping £28.04 there but well worth it in my opinion as it wasn't actually that much more expensive than Mr T's & it only happens once a year.
I also have to declare that I caved last week & we had a takeaway! So a very naughty £23.68 at D0minos...but on the bright side so far so good with only having one takeaway this month.
So just over £50 to last the rest of the month, fingers crossed!!:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

To be fair, it's really hit and miss in our store for then timing and how low they will go with the reductions, but they were stonking bargains weren't they? I was pretty surprised myself!April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -

Checking in with my first grocery spend for a few days. I went to Te$co for a Daily mirror (for the A1di vouchers:money:) and some bits and pieces that we needed - went off list for a pack of reduced clementines for 85p. Spent £12.54 and used extra points vouchers for an extra 250 clubcard points - so on the plus side it's another tenner off the ferry for next year!
off to update sig!

Evening just popping on quickly to update my spends. Quite excited sadly lol as I managed to pick up 5kg of potatoes for 56p!!! Also got some blueberries for the same price, the rest was full priced - onions and 2 for £3 brandy cream for Christmas Pudding.
I really thought about my shopping today and I know this will be old news but I only just clicked buying loose veg is more often cheaper than buying pre packed. I was going to pick up a 3 pack of onions for £1.10 but bought 3 loose ones for 51p I was dead chuffed so will be using my noggin a bit more when shopping instead of doing the dash and chuck like I normally do
Oh lol I spent £7.12 in total.Stay at home Mum to DS Oct 2011 and DD Dec 2013

Hi everyone,
Well done XSpender :j
Small spend in Sainsbobs today. I am (attempting) making a chocolate pavlova for my DNephews 18th party tomorrow night. Needed large eggs, good quality dark choc, white choc stars and raspberries. Used £5 nectar points so only £1.11 to add to my total
Dinner tonight is hm shepherds pie using DR lamb mince - nommy.

morning all
not been in for a while, so am posting my updated total £238.76/£300.
this includes an estimate cost of a tesco delivery booked for monday.
I have to tell someone, and i know you lovely people will understand, and share my excitement as my husband thought i was nuts. Yesterday i recieved an email from tesco with an offer for free delivery on a £40 shop between 17th and 19th. I did my online shop, but the free delivery code didnt work. I rang customer services hoping they would be able to knock off the delivery charge and the very nice man gave me a £10 online code to cover delivery and for my inconvience. In all i have £15 of free shopping as i used a £5 off with £50 voucher too.
I have an aldi shop planned for next week too to use up £5 off £35 spend. i am going to stock up on 10 loaves of bread for the freezer, some christmas beers for my husband, pop for the kids and some posh biscuits and cheese.
this should leave me £30ish for any bits needed during christmas week, and as i dont go in the shops from 24th-26th unless out of sheer desperation we should be under budget this month yay
Merry Festivities Everyone!!0 -
Well done X Spender :T
I am off to the furthest reaches of the kitchen to sort out the freezer. There isn't room for anything else in it, but because of the way I've shopped to cover the christmas holidays, all the things like bread and bacon are at the top. Fine if I want to live on bacon sandwiches, but as I'd like a bit of variety, I need to take everything out and put some proper food near the top otherwise I have to take out the bread, bacon etc every time I want something else and it's getting annoying
I also caved and paid £6 for an electric carving knife in Asd@. Hopefully any cooked meats will now be served in proper thin slices, not hacked off lumps as usual0 -
Vicky V, when do the Aldi vouchers appear in the Daily Mirror? Is it regular?0
