    Morning folks.

Just thought I would check in with you and see how you were all doing.

We are now settled in to a house out here and I am getting used to shopping. I haven't set a budget at the moment but will probably look at doing something in the New Year as I want to take driving lessons so will have to sort budgets out.

Hope you're doing well, settling in and enjoying the weather. :D I guess that things are significantly cheaper there too. My friend visited and was surprised to see a Waitrose in Dubai though, so I guess that's easy to get 'home comforts' if needed. :D

    Hi guys,

I've been following your forum since the summer, on and off, and decided that instead of muttering to myself each time I read a good post, I should actually join up and be more active.

I have been using all your advice and got better at my shopping habits but I think I will properly set myself a budget in the new year. I run by calendar month though so will wait until after Xmas to declare it.

Looking forward to chatting with you guys ;)

    Axx

Cant remember who posted about how awful the latest boxes of Te$co Value rice pops are. I've recently switched to these cereals and they've not been too bad but my DH just had bowl of newest box and they are awful!
Did you complain to Te$co about them? Who did you contact cos I cant find any email address for food complaints?
    Thanks Ax

Welcome Mamjak and good to see you again tigerfeet2006

Small spend in Wilko on some pop and sweets. DD's class are making cocktails tomorrow as part of their food tech(!). Poor Headteacher has to sample them and judge the best - hope the poor woman doesn't have sensitive teeth as most kids are putting in popping candy

Battered haddock, hm chips and peas tonight. Nice and easy ;)

Another £37.98 spent this week and signature updated. Next week I will only need bread, milk and eggs, and just bread and milk for the two weeks after that. Sadly neither of us really like fruit and tend to go more for veg, which I have plenty of in the freezer.

The £31.92 left should take us to the end of December and I will be happier still if it lasts until my son is back in school in January. I can't fit anything else in the freezer, so I'm quite positive about the possibility of it lasting. There's no chance of my son going hungry, one of his favourite foods is still the 11p smart price chicken noodles, and we have plenty of those.
  • Small spend of £1 today in Mr M on lady products - had planned a no spend day but not really the sort of thing you can do without! As a side issue, does anyone use a mooncup and would you recommend? As I couldn't help thinking if I had one I would have saved a quid from my grocery budget! :rotfl:

OH making some arrabiata sauce which we will have with pasta and a side salad, yum but I'm so hungry waiting for it!
