Thanks for the suggestions re meal planning. Looking at the last few months I think I've done ok with dinners but I think we might be spending a lot on lunch stuff, drinks & snacks. I'll figure it out as I go along..... Am seriously considering slashing my budget in half for January to get us in the 'mindset'!!!1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100
MFW 2013 no. 62 £10,000/£10,000
MFW 2014 no 62 £8000/£70000 -
Received a Mr T delivery last night - after discounts and vouchers were used it came to £44.35, but £10 of that was wine for stocking up over Xmas which isn't included in my spends. So £34.35 + £2.19 spent yesterday in Mr T at lunch.Grocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300

Grocery Challenge 12 -spent £1565.510 -

Just thought I would check in with you and see how you were all doing.
We are now settled in to a house out here and I am getting used to shopping. I haven't set a budget at the moment but will probably look at doing something in the New Year as I want to take driving lessons so will have to sort budgets out.
Hi Tigerfeet lovely to hear from you, glad that you are getting settled in, have a lovely Christmas.Slimming World at target0 -
Morning everyone, just checking in with the latest.
Sounds like you're all doing really well in the challenge and with all your meal planning, thanks for keeping me inspired! Lucky for me I only have myself to please at the moment but I'm so glad for all the OS recipes I'm getting under my belt as I expect (hope) it won't be that way forever!
Popped to Mr. T last night and the price for value penne has gone up  39p now, so I'm glad I stocked up when it was a bit cheaper! I think the value spaghetti was still 20p but the shelf was completely cleared out, as it always has been when I go! Also no value rice left, so I might have to make a trip to Mr. A on a more regular basis.
Small spend of 2.65 stocking up on soup while it's on offer. They're always going to come in handy if I need to whip something up quickly or if I get home late and need food fast! (I would be more inclined to make my own if there was more freezer space but hey ho!) Also got some YS lamb, not the best reduction ever but I love lamb and whenever I find it reduced it's still upwards of £4 so I refuse to get it! That's gone straight in the freezer and probably won't come out til Jan as I only have 6 days left at home so I've added it to my store cupboard category. Still have plenty of mince and some beef steaks in the freezer.
I baked two sourdough loaves at the weekend, first one was not great, the second was bread and it was yummy though still quite far from how it's supposed to be! So I will continue to bake every weekend to perfect my technique. I've used the second one to make sandwiches this week so it was definitely worth it!Nov Groceries: approx £90
