Big shop in Mr T's today - spent £142.05 but that is down from £167 thanks to coupons + saving stamps!
Got lots of bargains and used a couple of 3 for 2 promotions. Fridge, freezer(s) and cupboards all fit to burst. Lovely0 -
It is not embarrassing to wrap up the cake I could not eat and bring it home in my handbag from the posh coffee place. It isn't, it really isn't. So why was I so

A relative once really embarrassed our DDs when they asked in a restaurant if they would wrap up the beef they couldn't eat, to take home:rotfl:
2025 Fashion on the ration
150g sock yarn = 3 coupons
Lined trousers = 6 coupons ...total 9/66 used
2 t-shirts = 8 coupons
Trousers = 6 coupons ... total 23/66
2 cardigans = 10 coupons
Sandals = 5 coupons ... total 38/66
Nightie = 6 coupons
Sandals = 5 coupons ... total 49/660 -
Went for a walk this afternoon and bought a choccie treat:o so £1:10 spend today.
On the plus the twice roasted pork i cooked for lunch was delicious and theres enough left over to make a sweet chilli pork dish for tomorrow. Oh and the xmas cake i just took out the oven smells heavenly.Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)

I agree, good on you Suffolk lass! I have to admit I am never embarrassed to take leftover food home. Always do it in Italian restaurants as the portions are too big and can make two meals for me. I am not going to use thesmily as I am not embarrassed about it :rotfl: I have paid for my meal and I wouldn't throw out leftovers of home cooked food, so why leave expensive restaurant stuff for the bin!! (No restaurant has ever had a problem doing this but I suppose I may have embarrassed my companions :rotfl:)

We always wrap up uneaten meat (& veg if roasties / yorkypuds etc) or ask for it to be bagged if we've left lots of it ... we just blame the dogs :rotfl: We've often had it come back from the kitchen with extra's in it
