There are 5 of us. I have 2 underwear airers ( think that is what they are called, have lots of small pegs on). Don't do the black sock thing as boys and girls but will look into this:rotfl:. I hang all the underwear on them and pair socks up to dry together. I them hang the hooks over the patio curtain pole and they are usually dry by the morning. All the underwear then gets piled up by person and given to each family member to put away.
Also self catering hols do an online shop to be delivered to your holiday home the week before you go away. There are usually 17 of us going to the same place. Saves having the car packed to the hilt.[SIZE=2]SPC4 #1395 Aug 11 £135.75/£150

- Lots of Ikea storage boxes, labelled. We have a bookcase full of smallish boxes, labelled with things like "pens/pencils", "ribbons", "birthday cards", "plug adapters", "cards/games", "light bulbs", "shoe care", "candles". Everything goes back in the box from whence it came!
- Buying work dresses that do not need ironing; I travel lots for work and this is great. I also have two of "everything" required for travel: phone/ipad chargers, make up wipes, pre-packed wash bag, tights, underwear, a dress and a spare pair of my favourite work shoes ready to go.
- OPI Drip Dry - dries your nail polish hard in 4-5 mins. Brilliant invention, no more waiting 30 mins for your nail polish to "set". 8 quid a bottle, but very much worth it if you like keeping your nails nice.
- Doing all our grocery shopping on a weeknight. Helps us avoid the hassle on a Saturday, and it's much quicker.
- My rechargable hand vacuum (cordless) and microfibre sweeper - laminate and kitchen flooring are instantly clean, takes five mins daily. I also want a steam mop next to avoid the weekly bucket & mopping session.
- NOT PEELING MUSHROOMS
- A "cloud" where we keep all our documents (ie, !!!!!!!!) to access in emergency. I'm careful about what confidential docs are on there also.
- Weekly "Pasta a la Frigo". Basically, whatever we have that needs eating up in the fridge, as a pasta. Tonight is chorizo, tomato, spinach, leftover sausage spicy pasta, served with the parmesan that needs grating and using up. Other items that go well in pasta: bacon, any random veggies, mascapone, smoked salmon. We also do a "tortilla" version of this using eggs and leftover potatoes.
- Always cooking waaay more potatoes than we need, so they are easy to heat up the next 2 or 3 nights.
- Never buying lettuce - which goes off - and always buying baby spinach instead as a salad. Much healthier, and it can be put in a hot dish to use up. I appreciate this is not always MSE!
- Breakfast is too time intensive, so we keep a stock of bananas and yoghurts on hand for brekkie on the run.
- a husband who shares your philosophy in getting organised and working as a team. We're really good at this thankfully!0
