As these are free, if your a bit stuck in the mainstream try experimenting. You might even find something you like.0

As this is not the referrers board, why would anyone here want to help zvue's capitalize on its relationship with emusic, when we could go to https://www.emusic.com and get the same deal?!0
-
Emusic is a fantastic site and it's actually worth considering not cancelling if you like it because their monthly deals also represnt great value for money (much cheaper than Itunes).
Depends on taste though. As another poster mentioned if you're musical tastes are restricted to the Top 40 and high profile mega-artists then it's probably not for you. Anyone with even a passing interest in indie/alternative however will find tonnes of stuff.0 -
Signed up last night and within a short space of time I used over 60 of my 100 download credits!
I found a double Show of Hands CD, some tracks from Ali Farka Toure's son Vieux, and, for something completely different, VNV Nation's latest album - Judgement.
Great fun but you have to have an idea of artists you might be interested in.

100 free downloads works well for mac users as well. Pretty good stuff for jazz buffs : Ian Shaw, Colin Towns, Soweto Kinch, Andy Sheppard, Colin Towns, Eskborn Svensson, Danny Thompson, Kate Williams, Joe Zawinul etc. Not all the latest releases but all stuff I would happily have paid a tenner a cd for.
So an excellent result but you do have to search and follow other users links.
Lets just hope the cancellation button worked!0 -
this is brilliant, got my 100 free and found plenty to get from joanna newsome, of montreal, panda bear, coco rosie, and others; might even sign up properly.
if you like the slightly more interesting of offbeat alternative type of music this is an absolute haven
a big big thank you.it seemed like a good idea at the time to become a student already in debt; 10k and rising0 -
I came here looking for free downloads today, and that's what I got - brilliant :j
This is saving me a fortune on eBay trying to find the songs my kids want for their birthday parties (our musical tastes not generally encompassing the Crazy Frog or Tony Christie's Amarillo)
Don't think I'll have any problem using the 25 that I've got left after that little detour though
Edit - nope, no problems at all
It's not until you start digging around a site like this that you realise how much of your favourite music you don't actually own.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
What an excellent find - I signed up via http://www.emusic.com/nero, downloaded ten CDs worth of excellent music in an evening (admitedly I do prefer obscure bands from the past!) and then unsubscribed. Unfortunately I've tried to sign up again via the same link and now they're 'only' offering 50 free downloads - ah well

...what's more, it's reduced to a 14 day trial and, having just signed up again, it's now saying 25 free downloads not 50 <grrr>0 -
