You can pay on a credit card or on finance - I did. We had the savings but paid on a credit card, then paid it off. No difference to any other purchase.
I had an enlargement going from an A cup to a D so slightly different to what you're going for. I went in full of questions and my surgeon answered every one. I was very nervous about having elective surgery but it was all fine and I've not regretted it since.
Good luck with whatever you choose.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

Is that because they grew back? I knew someone years ago who got it done & after a few years they were back to the same size as before her op. I don't know how common this is but worth researching.
Partly, she never felt happy with the NHS op, she felt they didn't take enough but I guess it can be hard to get it right. She also had some regrowth, well I don't know that as I didn't know her before the first op but it is what she told me. She qualified for the NHS op as she was having physical problems particularly very bad back pain. She had time off work because of the back problem and the first op did cure that but she still had the marks on her shoulders.
I don't think you can just get it done on the NHS because you think it would look better.Sell £1500

What you'd expect before any surgery.
Of course, there may be a difference in motivation - reasons for wanting it done, and this appears to be a main factor in whether the surgeon decides you're a suitable candidate or not. I no longer want to cavort about on a beach in a skimpy bikini like Chantelle Houghton (if in fact I ever did want to!!) and my OH does not mind what I look like, he says, because he looks a bit deeper than what's just on the surface (Bless him!!) It's mainly a matter of comfort. Also, since I bought that new bra a week ago, the 36GG, I can no longer do up those nice new jackets I bought recently in Debenhams' sale, so going anywhere smart will be an embarrassment. According to my hip size I should be size 12, according to bust size....what?
I am expecting those comments from ill-informed acquaintances: 'At your age what does it matter?' Well, I have my answer all ready. 'It matters at my age, or indeed at any age, because I care not only how I look but how I feel, the comfort, not having to think about my bra being uncomfortable the whole time. So there!'
if I thought for one moment I would be comfortable I would be there having the op with you! Smaller boobs do not necessarily equate with comfort from what the girls in work tell me, they all have bra problems and can't wait to get them off. :rotfl:
Having said that my cousin has really big boobs and she is in no discomfort, she says after all these years she is used to it but I have never got used to it and yesterday after eating at work I was in so much discomfort I felt sick. it may be I bloat then the bra digs in unbearably. I had wires on but as said before, even a sport bra the band will cut in and make me sick.
i know what you mean about clothes, I am 8 trousers and 14 to 16 top though I can fit fine in some size 12 tops. I am going to try the Marks and Spencers total support as recommended above and see if that helps but beginning to suspect I have an abnormal stomach and all bras go across the top of it like an elastic band throttling me:rotfl:.
Could you not try a minimiser for your new clothes?0 -

Thanks for keeping us updated. I'm afraid at present I don't have the courage to face an operation like this but I am really interested in your story and have thought about having a reduction for a long time and maybe when I have finished with work ( couple of years left) I may change my mind.margaretclare wrote: »Have just found out the price: £5,265. An answer to all those who know I'm still saving and ask me 'what are you saving FOR?' People talk about 'going on a cruise' - well, I'd rather have this than any cruise.
There is 0% finance but, while there doesn't appear to be an upper age-limit on the surgery, there is on the 0% loan.
All these scraps of information are valuable and make up the full picture. I now await meeting the surgeon for the 10-minute free consultation on 8th December and will see what he says, will take it from there. I've found out just about as much as I possibly can at the moment.0 -
Thanks, Bettie. The surgery as such doesn't bother me - I've had quite a lot of surgery over the years, mainly orthopaedics and gynae, so that's not the problem. Couple of weeks now until I see 'the man' for the first time so I'll know more then. DH has gone from saying 'no no no, never' to being very supportive and 'if it's something you really want, obviously a man can't know how a woman feels'. Will let you know.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

In the meantime while you are waiting have you tried to be measured in Bravissimo, or any other independant specialist shop???
I have found that Debenhams still do the underbust measurement plus either 3 or 4 inches but other places go by the actual inches you are under the bust. I measure 38b in Debs but a astounding 32F in Bravissimo, and feel more supported and "lifted"!!!!! The ladies that I have met are all fab and helpful, and have seen it all!0 -

How can that be right? That would make me a 28 to 30 whereas Debenhams ( and everyone else) make me 33 - in between sizes
Not being funny but a 32 and I can hardly breathe, no way could I get in a 28 or 300 -
A friend of mine had a breast reduction years ago on the NHS.
She was a midwife and her bust was huge but the rest of her body was quite slim. She was totally out of proportion.
She had trouble buying bras large enough, she had to have her hospital uniforms made with special panels put in them and they got in the way when she was delivering babies. But the worst thing was the terrible bad backache she got from carrying that weight around with her and also trying to do a physical job.
She was transformed afterwards and looked so much better. She certainly didn't regret it and the backache disappeared straight away.0 -

I know, its the weirdest thing, I always used to go to Debenhams since I first needed bras and have measured the same and was quite happy to go along with that but went to get something special for under my wedding dress and went to Bravissimo. Was shocked but went along with her suggested size and fits perfectly. At that point had not lost weight or been ill, but when i measure myself im a 32 underband. Dont get why the sales ladies added for the underband either, unless its a old fashioned way to do it and they need more training?? Not sure, I just dont go there anymore!!0
