Forum rules prevent mortgage brokers from recommending or suggesting a specific lender.
It may also be deemed by the FSA, who regularly trawl forums such as these, as advice.
Think about it. XYZ mortgage broker on MSE recommended the Anytown 2 year fixed rate of xxx%. Client applies for it then decides later down the line that he has an inappropriate product. He would have the recommendation in black and white and, whilst maybe not a justified complaint, the broker would still have to face some financial outlay should a complaint be persued and followed up on.
It is a very desperate broker who relies on the results of posting on an internet forum to obtain business. To be happy you need to make someone happy.0 -

No I would see that as touting for business. He is welcome to PM me if he wishes.
CODE OF CONDUCT DOES NOT ALLOW BROKERS TO REQUEST A POSTER TO PM him/her
Once again trying to stirr trouble. there is no REQUEST here.I like to give people as many choices as possible to do what I want them to. (Milton H Erickson I think)0 -

Once agin trying to cause trouble. What was the OPs question? He wanted to be referref to a No Broker Fee whole of market Internet site. Thats what I told him to do I told him to use UK only because if you dont you end up with all the american sites which are no use as the have different rules and work in dollars.
Why dont you answer Dunstons question and explain what you bring to this forum other than trouble.I like to give people as many choices as possible to do what I want them to. (Milton H Erickson I think)0
