As one of the 4 people named I completely agree that clarification is needed, and am affronted by the possible accusation that I could be someone who trawls the site for business. Laughable as such an accusation would be there are thousands of visitors to this site every day that would apply what you have said to all 4 as they know no better.

Unfortunately, unlike some, I do not have the free time to constantly check what is being written on here as I am trying to run a business, but have to say that having checked I am somewhat disturbed and very annoyed to see such a comment applied to my name.

Do the honourable thing and either defend your statement or retract it as you are openly insinuating that any one of the 4 regularly trawls the site for business. He has no positive input.
He is not posting a question.
He is not answering a question.
All he is doing is making the brokers fight themselves.

There's nothing wrong with my signature I come here for a bit of light hearted diversion away from running my own business. I post mostly in the Money Savers arms so my signature reflects my involvement with that lovely friendly community

I didnt say there was anything wrong with it I am not the one who makes a fuss about them its Kenshaz who is always on about rules. He is the one that had a go at toonfish for having one font size too big on his signature.
Some of my posts are light hearted and as you say flippant but it seems you cant have humour here.

That is exactly what you have done. By saying 'one of those 4 regularly trawls the site for business' you are, to the posting public, implying that one of these people is breaking the rules but you do not name them. Therefore we are all 4 tarred with that brush. Whether you see the point or not is irellivent. I am very surprised that you cannot see the implication of what you have said. Either name the individual you are referring to or delete the statement entirely. I have no guilt about what is being implied however am very annoyed that such a relatively new poster to the forum can make such a suggestion without being prepared to defend it.

When you made a point I agreed with yes. But what you have made comment to is proposterous as far as I am concerned. But of course you wont see that as it is not your name that is being implicated.

Well having answered this too many times its a case of if the cap fits wear it end of story as I have said I wasnt complainig or aiming slurs at anyone but if anyones got a guilty concience then thats their problem. People have over reacted to an off the cuff comment and played straight in to kenshazes hands. Has he apologised to Shameless. No hes not man enough to. it was his bullying that led to this argument in the first place.
He seems to hve taken over the unelected role of policeman of the thread but is in fact worse than a westminster traffic warden.

I cannot get over your biggoted and pig headed arrogance you ridiculous man. You have made a slur which was aimed at any one of 4 people and then when those people come and try to ask for some sort of clarification or retraction , all you can say is oh if the cap fits

What is actually the case is that you cannot see the implication that your comments make and are not prepared to quantify it except by childish retorts such as 'if the cap fits, wear it'. If that is aimed in my direction then you really are being utterly ridiculous.

It is very easy for those who know to see who the 'trawlers' on the site are simply by the amount of free time they spend posting here with nothing better to do.

You have annoyed me and at least one other long term poster with your 'off the cuff' comment as, whether you see it or not, you have implicated 4 people in breaking the site rules.

As you do not have the balls to name the individual you are speaking about then your comment will be treated with the contempt that both you and it deserve.

well having retracted it god knows how many times we have a situation where 2 have reacted on this thread and 2 have not so what does that tell us. are the 2 that have reacted worried ? Of course it isnt really going to affect them because they dont trawl the boards and get any business and this thread is not giving any advice to posters so is it really a problem.
or is it the other 2 that are keeping their heads down hoping that no one will notice them and it will pass over.
You say I act like Im in a playground and yet I dont throw my teddies out of the pram if I get what might be a bit of a slur. Ive had far worse in my time and survived.

Think I might move to the Arms.( been a long time .. is AC still there??) .. have all the arguements dried up there these days
