I would be upset too..They are quick to say you haven't paid enough contributions for the previous year to get benefits, but people come from other country's who have paid nothing in and get everything. I would be P***ed off at that too.

    Hope he finds something soon.

Someone from abroad with a partner in full time work wouldn't receive any benefits in this situation either. The system is the same for everybody.

Im talking about people who come from abroad and get all the benefits from the off..No job, no house, never paid in,yet they get everything. Its about time it all stopped. Its the tax payer who's keeping them, and our pensioners, disabled, and people on low incomes are struggling to make ends meet..
The government go on about there being no money in the pot,yet give billions in aid,let every tom,!!!!!!,and harry in,and we all have to suffer for it.

I'm not sure why you feel it necessary to say that you're "born British" - do you expect to get a bonus for that?

Well yes, i think i should get a bonus for having paid into this system since i was 16 and so has my partner i was just making a point that we have lived in this country since we were born and both started work when we were 16,and worked nearly all of our working lives and i have worked and supported my 4 children and hardly ever have i asked for help. Are you mad with me for saying i am proud to be british! you have no idea what nationality my parents or ancestors are so please don't jump to conclusions

Your bonus = schools/NHS/Police Service etc....repeat to fade.

No one is questioning your national pride, although your posts are bordering on BNP rhetoric.

The magic ones that the Daily Mail tells everyone you can get if you are an immigrant. Its a new take on 'they come over here, pinching our jobs', now its 'they come over here and claim all our benefits'

If your partner had paid the appropriate contributions he would be eligible to claim JSA. As he hasn't, (just like anyone else in his situation) he cannot make a claim.
