I believe so, the ethernet port sends and receives the internet signal so I do not see why it would not work.

Mine picked up the router signal without me having to do anything to the router itself.

My point was that at the time of your post you had "linked" to that same retailer seven times in as many posts. No links are actually required at all unless someone requests them. What you did was tantamount to spamming the board.

Luckily, as a new poster you do not yet have the ability to post actual links.

As Minas replied to my query I was grateful for the link which gave the precise model. Like any savvy MSEer I put the reference number given into google to find the best price and didn't blindly go to PCWorld.

My point was that he'd spammed a link to that retailer in not just one or two replies, but in every post he'd made up until that point.

If it would appease you I shall post links from other sites in future where I have not bought my stuff from. Then we will be able to discuss the issue in the thread and offer advice to people in the thread without straying down irrelevant tangents.

Like other users have said the links were useful and showed exactly what I was talking about as not everyone will know what these products are which is why they have come onto a forum asking for help. You are correct I am new but I thought this forum was about saving money and helping each other out? And I was always taught to justify your statements with a source of information. It was hardly spam as it contained no incentive to buy from them nor did even have the price to accompany the link.

I notice you did not berate the person who posted a price and link from Amazon....

That was because, unlike yourself, the poster in question hadn't linked to the same retailer in every single post he'd ever made (at the time).
