That was a sell off of the older version. They are all sold now.

If I get one of these boxes will it affect the strength of the wifi signal to other devices used in the same room.
If you use multiple devices you'll need a fast internet speed, but wireless efficiency shouldn't be affected otherwise.

£21.95 one off payment good value IMHO works fantastically and simples to set up!

    really??

i bought one (on the £9.99 offer as my modem is in conserv) but i still cannot get Sky's On Demand :o

it searches and searches and searches for a wireless connection but picks nothing up :(
  • I think I will just use Ethernet cable:)
  • Try Ebay for a cheap old Sky wireless adaptor.
  • There are different types of homeplugs I think, they are not as expensive as some people think and after using them I think they are the most stable way to connect you stuff.

Try Currys/PC World for homeplugs they have had deals online for some semi-decent 200mbps powerline kits for under £22.00 in recent weeks. There was a TP Link PA211kit for £21.85, and an on networks (Netgear) one for £19.99 for a pair.

Both get good reviews so maybe give that a go. Plus according to their site they are having a 100hr sale from 2pm today til monday so maybe keep your eyes peeled for some.

Our router is 30 feet away in another room and the wifi signal on laptop and Ipad is quite weak so if I buy this box will it get worse?

Why not try a range extender as this will give you stronger wifi signal in the area of the house where it is currently weak or no connection. I use one for upstairs and it is a vast improvement on my standalone router. It also has an ethernet port which I use for a desktop PC.

I use this and would recommend it maybe have a look and see what you think:

You certainly like Curry's and PC World!
Do you work for them, perhaps?

I know nothing about technology but if I bought this could I keep the old Sky Negear router plugged into the computer in the study and then connect the range extender to my Sky box so I could watch On Demand and also use the laptop or Ipad in the room where the tv is.

Also my Netgear router is very old and does not have any buttons on it to pair with the extender. Is this a problem?

I had this problem but as my unit in another room was working I was suspicious.
Changed the channel on my router and hey presto it was working perfectly.

No just where I bought my stuff from - I see they are the same prices on Amazon if people prefer to shop on there but you cannot get Quidco on Amazon.

If I asked you about some of your products you have at home would you send me a link from somewhere you did not buy them from? or would you simply send me a link from where you purchased them?
