big big hugs.
Splat will be fine & back to her photogenic self in no time. I bet you by the weekend she'll be posing for you
Please let us know how it goes today. Since I last posted on your other thread we've re-homed Smudge's brother (Harvey) & I've booked them both in for neutering on the same day (about a month's time) ! Any hints or tips that you have will be greatfully received
Hope both you & Splat are back to fighting form soon - I've never had kidney stones but have heard how painful they can be

Aww well done on re homing smudges brother I presume they are getting on great together?
I will let you know what happens when I bring her home!
I had a stone 3 years ago and was hospitalised for 3 days with it, this time I've been allowed to be at home n I'm on strong pain killers to get me through but they making me drowsy etc so having to try without today as splat needs me to pick her up! I keep looking around thinking where is she and then remembering my baby is not here its horrible!:jEngaged 25/12/11 :j

Ohhhhh must've missed the original thread and realised that today is Splat's op!
Sure she'll be absolutely fine - wee cat was back to herself within 24 hours and you'd never have known it was done (as was big cat, but think it generally affects the boys less as it's less invasive).Splat hates the vet, but once home normally she's fine as if she's never been! She's been for her vaccines, nail clipping (couldn't possibly do it ourselves, even the vet said don't dare try do it ourselves as she's a tiger when it comes to it! Said she's never seen a reaction like it) and another visit as she had blood in her poop a couple of weeks ago! She hisses and growls like a dog, swipes out and really hates the vets!!
*sigh* ..... she's a tortie

Well she's home! She's not impressed at all bless her! She has a cone on for 10 days!!!! She has done nothing but try and get it off! I got told to try not to let her jump up anywhere....impossible she is trying everywhere!! She keeps walking backwards and meowing which she never does cos she silent meows never get more than a squeek out of her! I boiled some chicken and rice for her, she couldn't work out how to eat with the cone on to begin with so I hand fed her the chicken and she got the hang of it ate the chicken n left the rice and now she's soundo on my spot of the sofa but she's laying on her wound site
poor thing!

Awwwwww - so pleased she's home :j
Wee cat didn't have a cone on!
In fact, I can't even remember having to take her back to have stitches out - I think she had internal stitches (that dissolve) and then the outer wound was superglued..... probably so they didn't have to risk their lives to take the stitches out! :rotfl:(seriously .... she is a beeping nightmare being "interfered" with)
Good luck!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
