  • The advisor attempted to advise it was mandatory to sign up, I asked for written evidence which they dont have and demonstrated at present I could fulfill my JS agreement without signing up because the employer contact details are still available on the site for users not signed in. At this point i refuse to sign up and because I did my research they cant even mention the word sanction.

IF we reach a point when the employer contacts are removed or the site is locked down then thats a game changer but they will have to do somthing with the job seeker agreements because they will in effect be changing the agreement without your consent hence it becomes a demand!

Did they ask or tell you sign-up to UJM, did they ask you to give access to account ?

when you sign up they ask then, there is a tick box.

I ticked it as I can't be doing with the stress.

well done mate, you have bigger balls than me

I just signed on today as well and she thanked me for allowing them to access my account, you could tell she didn't mean it and was told to say it, I also had to fill out a customer service questionaire whilst sitting in front of her  these people have no shame.

Grow some man before its to late!!!!

Whilst I was waiting to sign I overhead the advisor coerce some others into it and there was indeed alot of resistance with people claiming not to have the internet or be able to use it anyway. This whole thing is going to come tumbling down next year and it will take this abortive government with it!

Did you know that monster.com, the job site that has been hacked atleast twiceo ver the last few years and spewed out millions of peoples personal info globally won a contract to help put this new system togethor for the governemnt!!! Do you trust monster with your data let alone the government?

But why, sounds like nobody asked you to give access, they would have just been happy that you signed-up to UJM ?

Sounds like you've worried yourself with stuff on internet, when nobody at jobcentre pushed you.

You could have taken 1 step, not 2.

trust me I'm no walk over, I stick up for myself but I pick my battles, as I am doing the searches and filling in the form and showing them the form, I don't see allowing access for them to see the same thing on screen is much different.

maybe but as said above it's what the system is set up for so I'll play the game and pick my battles.

Just be carefull, its not what the system is doing now, its what it can do to you soon!

Just the very fact they claim its mandatory when its not was enough to start my alarm bells ringing, so despite this your happy to allow the DWP and its "partners" access to your very private information despite the governments own appalling track record at keeping this data safe, not to mention monsters track record?

This system is designed to increase the risk of a sanction, it is designed to put people into further poverty and misery by sending them to job interviews automatically, and guess what happens when you dont attend because you consider the job unsuitable?. Thats right, Sanction! The best part of this is you are agreeing to it, :rotfl:

I have put together a pdf for printing out if anybody wants to get proactive and start handing these out at job centres and town centres etc... Alot of people just dont know this info and go along with what there told by the DWP.

  • OK, I am on the Work programme and signed on at the JC today guess what? NO mention of signing up for jobmatch at all so I presume this means the JC have washed their hands of anyone that's been out of work over a year and put on the work programme.
