My wife and I both have bmi Amex credit cards issued by MBNA. Mine is white and light blue, her's is black. She was also issued with a linked Mastercard, earning half of the Amex card's bmi miles - for use with retailers who don't take Amex.

We both registered with foursquare and loaded the House of Fraser and Shell offers to our respective cards and accounts. After using our respective Amex cards at both retailers I was notified of cashback within seconds but, after quite a few days, my wife has received no notification. Worse still, she can reload the offers, so it's clear that the original loads and transactions didn't work.

I emailed foursquare, who told me that it can take 2 billing cycles to credit. They ignored the fact that the offers can be reloaded, suggesting no cashback will be paid.

It appears from this that not all MBNA Amex cards work with foursquare

maybe get your wife to return the items - reload the offer and try again?

The HOF item was a gift voucher, so don't think it can be returned. The Shell petrol is currently in my car, so no possibility of a return. The fact that it has failed twice makes me believe that my wife's Amex CC just doesn't work with foursquare.

And you're definitely registered and synced with different email addresses etc? The offer should work with everything but corporate and pre-paid cards.

Yes, registered and synched with different e-mail addys. Does the offer work with Amex Preferred Gold card - a charge card? I thought it only worked with CCs.

Yes, it 100% works with the Preferred Rewards Gold Card as I have one and use it with pretty much every deal.

Does anyone have an email address for foursquare. Loaded card 3 days ago and used at Carphone warehouse yesterday and Pizza Hut tonight and heard nothing.

Rang the same branch today "yes, of course we sell gift cards" well maybe you should inform your staff of that then?
