MBNA additional cards have the same card number as the main card, so you can't take advantage of the Foursquare offers more than once per account. Amex issued cards do have different card numbers though so it's not an issue.
Oh ok. Thanks for letting me know. Not done it yet. Have 2 Amex cards directly from American Express so will be applying additional cards with them.0 -
joe134 - I just downloaded the Foursquare app this morning having seen the offer on MSE. For me (reasonably tech savvy) the app seems fairly straightforward, download it to your smart phone, sync your Amex card to it then just "Check in" using the app whenever you get to a place that has an offer.
Current offers available as follows:
£15 credit when you spend £50 at Shell service stations - be awar that this is only available at a small percentage of Shell outlets, so make sure you check before you travel (the app tells you which ones are doing the offer).
£5 credit when you spend £10 at Starbucks - looks like this is more widely available.
£15 credit when you spend £30 at Pizza Hut.
Haven't actually tried using the app yet, so I may yet be proven wrong (about it looking easy enough to use). Will be trying the Shell offer next weekend.
Does this mean I can only use My card, and not the wifes????
Thought both could be used.
PS;;Is it because I have only set up 1 a/c, mine, not OH ?0 -

You might want to write down which amex card is registered to which foursqaure account! can get very confusing!
Because of the ongoing excellent offers, and the money I have received from both the foursquare and the shop small promotion, I have applied for supplementary cards for mine and the wife's mothers. Of course, we will commandeer these cards once they arrive at their houses and will be used for the promotions. Thank you chip & pin!!!!!0 -
Worked out what you were asking after reading your post 10 times, but yes you need a separate email address per Foursquare account per card.| Amex & Foursquare Hoarder |Cashback & Points (26/02/13)
Nectar: 71,816 (£357) | Avios: 62,036 | Membership Rewards: 45,076 (£225)
Foursquare & Xbox Cashback: £1,865 | Quidco Paid: £9860 -

Or use one Gmail account and add a + in the first part of the email address - if you have me@gmail.com, you could use me+amexplatinum@gmail.com and me+amexba@gmail.com and they will arrive in your inbox.0

I have set up a seperate foursquare A/c for OH, using my Gmail e-mail address, BUT, when I try to sync her card , using E-mail from Amex, again, it says "Account" already synced.. NOT," card," but A/c.
As I only got 1 e-mail with my card number on it, presume that my card can only be synced. it,s my a/c.Cards are different numbers.
As OH is second card holder, she must need a seperate e-mail, with her card number on it to be able to sync hers. ??
On Shopsmall, no bother syncing both and MBNA as well..
Any hints appreciated.0 -
Hi Guys, I seem to have hit a brick wall here regarding OH ,s card.
I have set up a seperate foursquare A/c for OH, using my Gmail e-mail address, BUT, when I try to sync her card , using E-mail from Amex, again, it says "Account" already synced.. NOT," card," but A/c.

On Shopsmall, no bother syncing both and MBNA as well..
Any hints appreciated.
As I tried to sync both cards using same E-mail address, it said A/c synced, not card synced.;;;It didn,t state seperate E-mails or foursquare A/cs on E-mail.required.;;He stated They normally require a seperate E-mail address per card as you have said;BUT, not vital;;;; He said both cards are synced to same E-mail address, and can be used seperately, any trouble, ring them to be credited.Tried setting up FS a/c for OH with same E-mail, computer says NO???
THe mind boggles
How this works with seperate FS a/c,s I don,t know;;;
Anyone know just what pressing these buttons does in shop ?
Does it pick up the shops Wifi, or go straight to Amex?0 -
The location is irrelevant really. You don't have to actually be in the shop to check in or to load the offer to the card. Being there just makes it more convenient as you have GPS and you can search for shops near you.
Re. foursquare, you need one foursquare account per card and each account must have a unique email address (use your email as your foursquare login and you can't go wrong)0 -
hi, do i need an iphone to sign up for these offers , or can it be done via pc/laptop.
i only have a very basic phoneNice to save.0
