Can anyone suggest a good tin opener please?

After trying cheap and expensive butterfly types I found a P38 (US army) type to be faultless so far. There is also a larger version-P51. These are really simple, works EVERY time. Also dead easy to keep clean, no more black gunge! amazon.co.uk

It's very expensive but the best one I've ever used:

Strange, mine's never failed, it's the best tin opener I've ever had.I agree. I splashed out on a Kuhn Rikon. I can confirm that it is totally ineffectual on nearly every can, but works like a dream on about one can in twenty, which is okay if you have the time to mess around.Stompa0 -
This is my can opener and its brilliant.
The one I had was the basic Magican which got stuck fast when I just opened a third of a tin of beans, Somehow, I managed to get to all of the beans.0 -
I was looking for him earlier but apparently it's his day off!0

I've had numerous hand ones which looked as if they would be brilliant but they're all duds. Even got an electric one but that's consigned to the back of the cupboard as I can never get it to work - very fiddly to get the can in the right place - 3 adults in the house and none of us can use it. Just about to buy a new one after struggling with a can for about 20 minutes. ~Which one to buy though??It's 5 o'clock somewhere!0

I use the old fashioned one where you poke a hole in top of tin . Everything else I have ever bought has been rubbish0
