Just a quick lunchbreak browse while I have my packed lunch (flask of hm veg soup and some leftover roasted veg made into a little salad.

Also remembered I need a new iron. Dear MIL cracked on with some laundry last week whilst she was looking after DD :A, but something got stuck on the soleplate of the iron. So, this weekend they tried to clean it, but it was abrasive, so has taken part of the coating off  good job it was only a cheap one.

    So three things to remember:
    Pillows
    Iron
    Parents Evening

Thanks again for the hugs, sorry to confuse, the anniversary is next week, not this :A

Well I washed the kitchen floor - again - I am ashamed :o and have started to put away the clutter so I can actually clean...

Sidetracked by completing an on-line assessment as requested by the company I applied to last night for a Christmas retail job :j someone has acknowledged my application and put me through to the next stage  I may cry...

Continuing with job search now, to see if there is anything I am suitable for and to spend time personalising the application only to be completely ignored for ever after *sigh*

ETA bossy - I know you said preferably not, but I thoroughly recommend memory foam pillows, me and the bumpkin teens have them and we LOVE them... and we are all fully paid up members of 'fussy b*stards inc.'

  • Good afternoon :D

(((hugs))) Toochoosey. Sorry for your loss

My laptop has decided to install Google Chrome this morning, and I don't like it :( I have lost all my history, so I had to find this thread (and reset my password, as I had to log on again!):mad:

DH has cancelled our bank appointment. However, he has given the guy some details so he can get the ball rolling on the new mortgage. Apparently, when he was sick this morning he brought up some blood. He has called the doc, who suggested the hospital. So he walked down there, but they suggested the docs!! I am not sure what is going on. I am a bit pee'd off, if I am honest :o I sound really nasty now - I would make a terrible nurse!!

I think I will go and make some jelly for tonight's dessert, and maybe prep the dinner. I think I will put the dog in the garden, as I am not sure he will get a walk today now :(

    Hello ladies.

I'm back from work and thinking about a HHC at 2.30 before I go to get DS1. DD2 is at football club tonight but I'm going for a cuppa with a mum who lives nearby school so I will nip out and get her at 4.10.

DS1 and 2 driving me insane. DS1 has lost his memory stick and doesn't have a back up anywhere. He missed the bus for college looking for it and has returned early having still not found it.

DS2 has left his packed lunch at home and taken the lunch money DH left for him for Thursday and Friday. I've told him he can go hungry at the end of the week as I've got better things to do than make lunch for ungrateful brats.

    Toochoosey Sorry for your loss.

2.30 is nearly upon me. Here I go...

Tooch - sorry to hear your sad news
Bossy - no help on the pillows as I never know what to get either lol
LW - thinking of you x

Hugs all round to everyone else even if you don't wnat one [pokes out tongue and runs from Pigpen]

What day is it today - I've a cracking headache, done some gardening at a neighbours thinking the fresh air would clear it but oh no, its worse. Head like a sieve at the moment. DH is working silly hours as a resident at the home he works at is in hossy miles away and he's the advocate for this person so he's a bit stressy, done a budget thingy and on paper we should be doing ok in reality we're not and I can't work out why so hopefully once the headache is gone I'll be able to sort out our financial mess [or go back to work]

I'm keeping on top of the daily stuff which today has included chucking out a freezer full of stuff, DH accidently pulled out the plug so its all ruined - now I feel like crying

Anyway onwards and upwards, school run time now
