the above would be oh-so true. except that 2900 customers have left me 100% positive feedback in the past 2 yrs & not 1 negative - so unfortunately for you, i do understand the meaning 'customer service'.
perhaps someone needs to undertand the meanings of 'patience' & 'chillout'
You mean like Paypal and Ebay? Obviously you do, otherwise Paypal wouldn't remove seller's protection if the item isn't posted within 7 days of receiving the funds. Ebay the same, as they allow the buyer to start a NPS dispute on the 10th day after the end of the auction if the item has not been received.
Ebay ID, Stuart? It's so very easy to sit there saying you've got this amount of positive without any negs when you don't post your Ebay ID.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

i wasn't stating that your seller may not use their computer every day - my reply above was for another user (jasmineswhiskers) on page 1 who had not any emails from their seller
Actually I haven't sent my seller ANY emails apart from replying to his 'do you want a different colour' email. I won't hassle them about it...yet. I just 'presumed' obviously wrongly that if someone offers a Buy It Now it's so that the buyer can have the item reasonably quickly.0 -
I would leave the seller a neutral (if the item arrives this week) if not then a negative.
If the seller has difficulty in posting items this should be mentioned within the listing. I've seen some sellers state I only go to the PO on a Tuesday and Thursday which is fine because they have told you in advance and therefore you can choose not to bid if the timescale isn't convenient. However, this seller doesn't seem bothered at all. Basically it seems like they will post when they can fit it in. I work Mon-Sat and have to stand and queue most of my lunchbreak if I have eBay items to post. I'd rather not spend it this way but if I've sold something then it's my responsibility to post within the 7 days.
The seller could have contacted the OP re: item and apologised for the delay in sending. That would have been the decent thing to have done. If the OP had not emailed the seller it's unlikely that they would have taken the initiative and done so.
eBay probably isn't the right place for this seller.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Well, it's now been 10 days since I won the item. Guess what? That's right - still no sign of the item and no further communication from the seller.
Well, Stuart? Reckon I should start a NPS dispute, or do you still think the seller hasn't done anything wrong? In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

I completely agree with every aspect of your post. Still not sure on the neutral or negative yet, as I still haven't got the item. As far as I am concerned, if you sell something on Ebay you have a responsibility to to post it out within a reasonable time frame. Paypal gives you 7 days before you lose seller's protection. Ebay gives the buyer 10 days in which to receive the item. If you're working full time, then you either don't sell on Ebay, or make sure your prospective buyers know there might be a delay in posting due to time constraints. You don't do what this seller has done - which is to simply post when he feels like it and not bother communicating with the buyer at all (all bar one short message after being hassled). A little courtesy and common sense goes a long way. If you're going to be delayed, let the buyer know. Don't simply ignore the buyer, as it seems to indicates that you have no respect for your buyer. It's not asking too much to at least be kept informed by the seller as to what is going on. After all, he has my money. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

I've sent my seller another message saying that I don't want to file a NPS complaint, but he's leaving me no choice when he doesn't even seem to want to communicate with me. I said that the communication from him has been very lax and that it takes less than a minute to message your buyers to say there'll be a delay in sending items out. I then went onto paypal and put in an "Item not received" claim. Let's see if he responds to that.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Ack - my seller has responded via Ebay and left me positive feedback. He's apologised and said that he'll take on board what I said for his future auctions. Can't leave him negative or neutral now, as he's being nice. If the item turns up, I'll leave him a positive, but will give him a low star rating for dispatch.
Thanks for your help, guys.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

You're way too generous  Has he even sent the item yet? If not and the item does arrive I would think a neutral would be about right. Feedback should be a reflection of the whole transaction and show other prospective buyers your experience of the seller. Up until you have found the seller to be very poor at communication and very slow at posting. Surely that isn't a positive experience? I would want to warn others if I were you.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--
