Of course you can compete. As we've said over and over, employers are looking for more than just a degree from a potential employee.

Just on paper with a BA compared to someone with a MA/ PhD you look very inferior.

However, a degree is poven not to increase your overall intelligence so from that point of view a degree is not worth much.
What on earth does that mean?
For all operative and practical purposes it has got to be wrong.

Oh dear here we go again

A degree does not increase like your general intelligence but only your knowledge of a subject.

I suppose my inferior feelings to people with better qualifications than me is coming out.

A person may have an MA/PhD and nothing else The person with a BA may have a lot more to offer in terms of employment history/work experience, skills e.t.c which is probably what an employer is looking for.

Again, you are placing far too much importance on qualifications. It seems like you think a degree is a passport to some great job earning thousands of £s.

A degree demonstrates far more than that...surely you know that at this stage....(application, commitment, working to deadlines...etc, etc)

Not really, I just feel that if anyone with better qualifications than me goes for a job they will get it because of those.
