    oh well thanks ... now WE look like the confused ones!!!

    haven't spent any of my £10 budget and only spent £1 on my lunch today so all in all a good first day!

    thanks, I love the saying!

    after reading this comment i had a conversation with my mum about my little sister's own money problems and actually used this phrase ... my mum asked whether i had just made it up .. i really wanted to take the credit but didn't and she thought it was a really good saying!! no doubt she'll use it herself ...

  • I have had a pretty good first day.

    I have spent 99p on a tube of hair gel for DH (he was starting to look like a human topiary). I spent 25.39 on my weekly food shop, which is 39p over budget, so I've added that to my uneccessary spend total - 1.38 so far.

    Also, I parked in the free car park in town today and saved my usual 50p parking fee, and had a longer walk into town, so good health wise too!
