    FishFace!

I know exactly what you mean one of the girls at work left her Company mag downstairs for me to read, and theres this splurge and steal fashion pages they run, and Im sitting there thinking STEAL! STEAL! That outfit is more than I spend on food for a month!

Have you thought about asking for subs to the mags as your christmas present? My Grandad got me a sub to Prima (Thanks OS!), and its literally the only mag I read now, because I know I'm getting something every month, I dont really get massive cravings like I used to...other than reading the ones at work from the girls.... well if they're gonna spend the money on it, theres no need for me too!

  • I've just used tesco points to get BBC food mag but its when I'm "bored" and out shopping! Just trying to avoid the mag isle when I shop now & only get the ones I subscribe to!! Must have been Marie Claire you were reading! The spree ones are more than a years food budget, never mind a month! No wonder people are in so much debt - they make it ook so normal to spend 1000 on an outfit, effortlessly dont they eh!!

    Hi I#m home!!

Been on hols that oh pays for (not)!

I went with no new knickers & even used boots points at airport to buy suncreams @ 1/2 price etc.

We had a 61/2 hours delay & were given vouchers of £12.50 each - didn't want 'lunch' but managed to buy - milk, water, juice. crisps etc to use on hols & not waste any free money!!!
Had agreat time but now need to cut back on necessary - let alone unnecessary!!

    Please tell me what's happening!!

The nice post man has left me lots of mags (?) like sainsbury's; bank etc. I still, 2 years on really miss those nice new glossy ones that we pay for & as ff/cafcgirl says when you do read them there are so many adverts & the articles are aimed at people so rich that they would pay others to read the magazine for them!!!!!!!!!!!!
All I want is to be middle of the road instead of having to [pretend 'cos I owe money!!!!!

Have you sat down with your OH and talked it through? Just tell him if he knuckles down and does this all now, he can have all the free time in the world afterwards....

Been there done that, which is why I'm stuck in the mud, if I'm lucky he starts with good intentions but it usually lasts about 2 weeks :rotfl: He's not that bad except if I want something done I have to ask or arrange things beforehand. I know men aren't mindreaders but he has one housework job to do regularly every week and even that doesn't get done  I think there's a book out on how to train your other half, apparently it's a bit like training a dog, so I might see if the library has a copy :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway enough moaning :p I'm sorry to say in my current state of mind that last week was a bust and I spent the whole £10 :o Ah well will try harder this week ;)
Edited to say yes I spent on mags and yes they are almost as bad as ebay :rotfl:

No, you are not confused! But I was....

I will discuss in greater detail on my diary later on tonight :)

However, new week, new challenge and all that!
I'll be attempting this week with a crisp £5 note following the in retrospect not that nice a chinese....

The Gods of the Unneccessary are trying to show me the path of righteousness..... and I'm too busy scoffing my face with chinese!
Anyway we live and we learn, following some decision making (check out my diary later - I love shameless plugging!) I thin I've got a renewed (how many times have I said that) desire to really get this unnecessary spending down to a fine art, so fine in fact that it would appear I'm not actually spending ANYTHING!

    How a girl can dream....

Right TALLY HO, CHOCKS AWAY, and see you all at home time :)
