Hi I would like to join in this too please. Im just thinking is a daily newspaper unnecessary. Mind got a bargain today. The local pharmacy are offering tester aftershaves and perfumes for a donation of £5 to a local charity. They are full as well and some expensive ones in there. So looks like a bargain xmas pressie for my grandson. Will start this tomorrow.

Will try and make sure I get on a bit more regularly and post on a more daily basis, we've lost focus (well I KNOW i have) and a good time (pre xmas) to get back on the wagon

    Hi Boddy :)

I have budgets for Food, Van, Emergencies,Sport, Allotment, Clothes, Presents, and Toiletries (with the last four being just £5 each). Everything else is unnecessary! (well, I'm fairly new to this, so I'm still working out what I need budgets for).

Unnecessary in past 2 weeks (since I started this challenge) spent on a couple of cups of tea in cafes (far less than normal), and a book from a charity shop, and a couple of cokes in the pub :) So far in Sept I've spent £12.92 - this time last month I'd spent £67! :) I'm sure i can get it down further...

£6.15 left this week, and not spending ANYTHING today. Hooray! :)

That's it exactly cafc. I also feel like I'm swimming uphill and chasing my tail while running after the wagon which everyone's sitting on

Just having a downer I think as no matter what things I do/change I can't see any financial gain. DH not helping either at mo he's playing the "I work all week so this is my freetime" card when there's so much that needs doing.

I'm fine really I just needed the kick to get out of the rut the cart made so thanks ZTD :rotfl:

ah so the wheels of your cart got stuck in the mud?

Best advice I can give, is that even just thinking about it will eventually reward you with some financial gain? Have you sat down with your OH and talked it through? Just tell him if he knuckles down and does this all now, he can have all the free time in the world afterwards....
