Hope you have a top time EL!
Well I was on a big high this morning everything seemed to be falling into place only for my BF to stick massive spanner in the works and practically cause me an ulcer through his behaviour....
oh well, at least I didnt spend any cash!
BF?

"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 -
BF- Yes.... again....
Spanner - He was supposed to withdraw some cash for me, and I was gonna give him a cheque for my deposit (savings acct, cut up card so I wouldnt spend it-forgot about this) asked him 5 days ago, he's had plenty of time, and days off, and then yesterday tells me he couldnt get it... and I'm paying my deposit today.
Luckily one of the girls at work came to my rescue (after hearing me on the phone to him!), and all is well againWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Sorry to hear that CAFC - seems like he either forgot, or did he spend the money? Glad you got it sorted though ;o)
Meal at HaHa was loverly, plus today was minimal spend - simply treated myself to Mango body butter from M&S (£5, vs the £12 Body Shop version) and also some sweets (bad)... tomorrow will be worse as I intend a full attack on the shops to try and buy some sort of capsule wardrobe winter items. Have taken a deserved day off - being self-employed this hurts a bit, but I need it and am looking forward to it. In October I won't have a single day off in the week, so this is my last one...MFW #185

Haven't done too well this week - spent £17.44 of my £10... Funnily enough, this week I've started eating quite a lot of chocolate again - wonder where all that cash went?
(Actually, I'm not wondering - it's all written down...)
Ah well, tomorrow is another week0 -
AND - with one week left to go, I've got £60 of my monthly budget (of £250 for everything) left; this time last month I had minus £240...
I've gone over on some bits (ie food - but only by a small amount), and unnecessary, but well under on others (sport, travel, emergencies).
Was keeping a diary last month, but hadn't discovered MSE/DFW, and so wasn't really paying much attention to what I was writing. So this site obviously works!0 -
Cheery I know what you mean! I used to spend & go into O/D each month, now I give myself (more than enough) to spend each month but I'm smarter about how I spend it and also anything left over goes to savings. Have not yet been overdrawn this year, that says something about the power of MSE! Plus my savings balance is better and I am wiser about how to make extra cash online, or use vouchers etc etc. The monthly grocery challenge is a big help too!MFW #185

A week! Shocking! What's going on peeps?
I spent £25 on dvds today, but the dvd I really wanted was £35 so actually, I saved £10... That's how it works, right?!
I need to go clothes shopping at some point this month  , but I'll try and keep it to a minimum! Luckily I've got some AQA money coming inDFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls

I was impressed with your ealier post that you were on course to turn a monthly Minus £240 budget into a neutral ie within budget regime for the month, that takes some doing:T
Did you manage it?
I think if you get bogged down that you should post more often- if nothing else- whilst posting you arn't spending:rotfl:Are those shopping bags you're carrying really bags of debt???0 -
I've bought a few bits off ebay, but only about £30. I really *needed* some new jeans, as all but one pair of mine are unacceptably loose and baggy now, to the point where they fall down when I'm going up stairs!DFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kitten
