    Welcome ltd,
hello Cafcg, PP & Shortie - I must apologise for having a couple of days off line.. but ... where are you all??

Ciara goes to Paris to bag a french man & we give up??

i HAVE NOT SPENT UNNECESCESSARILY In fact I have not spent at all 'cept B'day cards which were planned.
But I would buy more knickers if I thought it would attract more people to this forum!!

Then again, granny knickers are not usually attractive!!:rotfl:
I must be getting old though 'cos on holiday I was more aware of my 'scimpier, lacier(sp?) underwear on the line than I was of big nanny knickers!!

Sorry regular posters - nanny has brought thread back to underwear again!!
But on a serious note - still no spends which has lead to another £200 off cc debt:T

    Hi all!

Welcome ltd (that feels odd saying welcome as I only joined this week too! :rotfl: )

Hope you feel better soon CAFCGirl and there's a cheque waiting for you. Totally agree about the PJs thing. I'll often cuddle under a light blanket in th height of summer just because it's "comfy"

Sorry for not posting recently :o . Wednesday night we had the inlaws round, which was nice but annoyed at OH as he asks me what to cook for dinner so I suggested Tuna pasta bake as we've already got the stuff in etc. I phoned him on the way home and he's bought £12's worth of Tescos bits - chicken, bacon, strawbs.... didn't sound very tuna pasta bake-y to me! Don't get me wrong the chicken and bacon pasta bake was lovely but still.... The worst thing was, if he'd just asked me, we had everything bar the strawbs in the freezer already  . Oh well not my budget...

Yesterday wasn't a very good challenge day and I know today won't either. I had a docs appointment to do a routine check baby (I'm not 31 weeks) and I mentioned about sparks in my eyes etc. He ruled out preclamsia (sp) (aparently sparks can be a sign of high blood pressure, it wasn't migranes as I've not been getting headaches) and I went on my jolly way to work. I'd been in for 1hr when he phoned me back as he'd forgotten to go back over the symptoms of the eye thing with me (I can totally understand why as he was worried about the preclampsia and had LOADS of other things to check up...). Talking over the phone and he says "okay, nohting to worry about for baby but you need to get to eye casualty as we suspect you've got a detatched retina "...... ..... I said I'd go along tomorrow (as I have today off anyway) and he phoned me back 10 mins later again and said "no, senior doc here says you go now". PANTS.

So after a wild goose-chase to find a hospital with the eye place open and missing two of them by 10 mins, a car park fee of £2 and 2 drinks and 2 bags of crisps at £2.85!!!! (neither DH or I had eaten), we came home with me feeling mighty p'ed off and tired.

So Unnecessary spend for yesterday was £4.85. As I didn't actually get to see anyone last night I'm going back today so I'll add th car park fee on later.

I know the doc is just looking out for me, and I'm VERY lucky that our surgery take anything seriously (you hear these horror stories of people having to fight to be taking seriously over illnesses etc) but I'm absolutely adament that I'll walk away being told "nothing wrong - you're just tired and stressed". I hate wasting the NHS's time

Sorry, rant over. I'll update my post when I get back with the spendings and them I'm off till Sunday night. Let's see what damage I can do until then eh? Hee hee :o

Hee hee... at 27, I've always hidden my knickers on the inner most lines of my rotary line behind all the other stuff anyway, skimpy or non-skimpy lol!

I was horrified when my MiL kindly put my washing out when she got round on Wednesday (the cycle finished after I left for work) and there was a pair of knickers on the outer most line  . Worse still, the poor woman had to handle them   I'm not dirty and smelly or anything, but still undies are undies :rotfl:

Maybe I shoud buy some really fancy ones in a size 'tiny' and proudly air them on the outside? I'd never fit them so they'd never be worn, but it's for show right? Give the neighbours something to talk about :rotfl:

    Shortie,

I hope everything goes well for you today at the hospital! Big Hugs xx

Not feeling too chipper today! Have sneaky suspicion flu is about to hit as doc suggested yesterday and I am just so tired!!! Normally fridays are my day off work, so I would normally still be in bed right now..........

but alas off I must toodle to deal with two pallets of delivery which was supposed to turn up yesterday when there was 3 of us, but no it'll (apparently) turn up today when theres a very depleted looking me....

I will spend money today and given my present mood, I'm not exactly bothered!
Shameful attitude I know! I've lost my appetite for anything solid so I might opt for a smoothie for lunch... for some form of nutrients, and I'm going to buy some Echinecea...see if I can head the germs off at the pass!

Pippo- I love how this thread always comes back round to knickers!
I want a pair of comfy knicks with Unnecessary Challenge written on them!

Thanks CAFCGirl, just about to leave now

Don't push yourself too hard today, especially if you're not feeling well. Big Hugs back. xxx

I think it's the best attitude to have when you're reeeeally feeling pants, to spend some money on things you wouldn't normally, If it'll help perk you up, it's not a bad thing

Hmmm..... I'm kind of liking the idea of Unneccesary Challenge pants... I'm thinking this could go downhill very quickly :D

Be sure to check back and let us know how things went Shortie!

Well my day wasn't as bad as it could have been, even though my feet did get wet in torrential downpour this morning!

I spent £3.40 today though ............opps. on lunch and a drink. But it did make me feel 10 times better so I dont mind!

Plus I got my cheque from my lovely bosses, with a lovely card signed (by hand) by all three of the brothers who run my company and I've met. How nice of them....

However nasty horrid credit card bill came in, and I expected to see a nice big fat 0! But no, the b*ggers have added on £25 in interest...

    AND THEN
    written on the bottom

CONGRATULATIONS! Your credit limit has been increased!

Congratulations?! Thats not aimed at me I'm sure, more on themselves...
