well another day another dollar.............
ON DEBTS!
Yes thats right, today should be the day where the interest free loan from my mum clears in my account so I'll be clearing my loan and credit card!
WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!
And then its all guns blazing to pay that back!!!
Quite excited.
It somehow doesn't feel like it's evil debt but nice flowery debt that smells like roses!
That and now my mobile phone contract is cancelled and has been switched over to PAYG so I'm looking forward to seeing how much that will save me!
I do now however need to top it up. Wheres best to do that? Do you get points on topping up at Boots?
Right better get ready to face the day!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Anothe r £4.62 on postage today, and another package to send tomorrow... not sure I'm gonna succeed this week!:o

Hi Every1!! and welcome to all the new UC members:beer: especially male ones;) :rotfl:
I haven't been taking part for a couple of weeks but have been quite good:money: I think it's really spooky how when I come on there's a post from Pippo for me:cool: Glad to hear you had a nice hol as well as coming back with little on the plastic:T :T The girls are fine - DD2's asleep at the mo coz we're going to have a late night as it's their dancing show aftershow party and DD1's still at school. We have a new addition to the family in the form of a bouncing, cheeky boxer cross called Benson. Walking him is good, cheap, fun exercise for all of us - although I do fear that he may have already had a bit of hanky panky with next doors dog who is in season:eek:
This challenge stayed with me during my 2 wks off and I've been doing some things on automatic pilot:T I will join in again properly from Mon tho when new budget will kick in.
Hope every1s having a good day,

Unnecessary Challenge Week 2: £2.11/£10.00... kinda

Feeling very pleased with how I have done with this challenge this week
I started the week with £10 cash - now I have £3.20 left but only £1.29 of that was unnecessary!
The remaining £5.51 that I spent was £1.30 on Amazon parcels to post (get cash back from Amazon directly to bank of course!) and the remaining £4.21 was spent on groceries for pack-up lunches which I include in our weekly food budget so really my remaining money out of the £10.00 for the challenge is £8.71! :jFiona xx

Hey All!
Just noticed something. For this challenge, postage you pay for things like Ebay and Amazon, don't come in as unnecessary as technically you are paid for these things. So even though you are paying out money, you will eventually get that back!
I'd seen a few people mentionning theyre close to the bone because of the postage so I just felt we needed that one clarified. Only difference is if you're offering free p&p...........!
Well I've come so very close to the line this week. Popped into boots today to see what goodies we could get (CAFCFan and me) and I managed to get some Boots Basic Face Wash for 15p! Then I got some bronzing pearls... £1.99, and then there was the self tan clearance area by the till. I got the soltan starter kit for only £1.65 and some more self tan for only 99p!
It was all cheaper on the till than on the labels. So even though I will fail the challenge this week, I may go back tomorrow!!!
Ohhhhhhhh and get some free hair conditioner.... Thanks to Mum's advantage card voucher!
And I've paid off my bank loan......... and according to the guy I spoke to today, my interest rebate may have been taken off already, and then again it might not have. He said they'll let me know by post and I've asked for written confirmation for it..... Does anyone know if I have to write a letter to get them to update my credit file?
Hows everyone else's day been going?Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Hi all,
Well, first week back at work over, although I will have to do some work at home over the weekend, but best of all no spends!!
Found £50 cash & cheque for £150 in front of keyboard when I got in just now:j from DH who had received a cheque from some shares when we got back from hols. That is going straight off big cc debt as i've got the little one from hols covered.
The worrying thing is that those shares were part of his/our retirement fund & really it should be invested, but all the advice seems to be to pay off debts before saving.
The other worrying thing is the cash bit as I have had no spends mainly 'cos couldn't be bothered to go and draw any money out & now I may be tempted!!
It is sunny here so may potter in the garden for a while before tackling this pigsty that used to be called a house!!
Good luck with the booty ciara - I need to get my a into gear and sort one out too - it would help with debt as well as clearing out the junk!!
Hope you all enjoy the show & the party Jet - as you say it is spooky!!
Also hope Benson has come with his own budget:rotfl:0
