  • I did my claim on xmas day and had still heard nothing so called them today ... 56 days later! Apparently the money was sent to my account yesterday - lets hope so!

Did anyone manage to get one of the 3G Tab2 7.0s that Amazon were selling earlier today for £158.80?

Brief appearance on HUKD seems to have cleared a pretty small stock, but who know, there might be more at some later point.

    Spoke to them yesterday morning.

They said payment should have been released on Friday but missed the payment run. They confirmed payment went through yesterday before 10:00am. 30 hours later it still has not hit my bank account.

    Maybe tomorrow:(

I know it is frustrating, and we are all impatient to get our cashback, but lets look at the bigger picture, eh? I am going to have ended up paying £145 for what is currently selling in John Lewis for nearer £300. OK, I may have to wait a few days extra, but lets keep this in perspective. I am certainly not disgusted, nor do I think I am being defrauded or swindled. I am actually delighted to be getting such a fabulous deal, and it looks like the cashback is being paid bit by bit. Its hardly surprising they are not in a massive hurry to pay out the money (what company would be in the current economic circumstances), but at least we should get our dosh!

Terms and conditions are put in place to protect companies and consumers from unscrupulous operators. The consumer has rights and should expect those rights to be adhered to at all times. Failure to have enough staff in place to be able to handle the volume of cashback applications is not a reasonable excuse, but one which in this country is tolerated, whereas elsewhere, particularly in the US it wouldn't be.
By allowing organisations to ignore their own terms you are effectively giving them licience to do as they please. MSE is here primarily to ensure the consumer gets a level playing field, nothing more, nothing less.
If you and I fail to adhere to T&C's we pay penalties. EG, what if I submitted my application 10 days late because I was busy? Would they pay up, somehow I doubt it very much !!!
I've no doubt I'll get my cashback, but I shouldn't have to chase it up !

This thread relates to a special deal that was before CHristmas. Perhaps it should be 'expired' as you can no longer get this deal.

If you are wanting to buy a Samsung tablet and looking for the best offers, you may find you get a response on the 'I wanna buy it or do it' thread? Good luck!

I am a bit confused as I got my tablet from PC world. Was expecting £80 cashback (case and tablet package) but today received £30 cashback cheque - does anyone know if I get the rest from Samsung? TIA.

    I assume this was a 10" Tablet?
If so the £50 needs to be claimed by you from samsung..

As long as you fit all the criteria....

These probably being the most relevent at this time...
    1. Qualifying Tablet purchases must be made from 00.01 on the 24th October 2012 to 23.59 on the 31st of December 2012 (inclusive). The claim window will close at 23.59 on the 28th of February 2013, all claims received after this date will be marked invalid.
    2. Claims must be made within 15 - 60 days from the date of purchase, for the avoidance of doubt the date of purchase on the invoice or receipt counts as day 1. Claims received outside this period will be marked as invalid and will not be accepted.
