Gosh, I'm sure you couldn't have meant that to sound so offensive.
    .

No I didn't and sorry ! :o Didn't mean it to come across badly or suggesting that you had bad credit.
But there are quite a few people on here, for one reason or another, have had problems and don't have access to cash/card credit but are ok with phone contracts and fitted your criteria of "perhaps for some of us".

But the main point about of the cost over and above the alternative does highlight the true cost of the "free" gifts that CPW and others offer and there is quite a premium for going the CPW "free tablet" route.

Incidentally, can you still claim the £30 Samsung refund if you get the tablet free on a Galaxy Ace contract??

    Just ordered the 10.1".

    £228 paid (£10 code)
    + £50 cashback from Samsung
    + 4.5% from quidco

Will work out about £168 in total!

    Thanks for the post.

I'm wondering if the £20 Tesco gift card was still on offer when I bought on 10 November. The information earlier copied by someone from Tesco website did say from 23/10/12 - 11/11/12 so should hopefully be honoured although it did add at the end that it had the right to withdraw the offer at any time. Fingers crossed. Also Topcashback had it tracked at £190.40 (strange amount as no pennies involved in transaction) instead of £238 so not sure why this is. Maybe if it had been tracked at £218 that would have been the £20 already deducted but as it is, it's £48 which has been deducted. I'll need to check this out with Topcashback and see what their reply is. Hopefully mine is available to collect from store after 4 pm on Monday but Tesco Direct could not track my order but will phone me on Monday morning once they get IT Dept onto it. She said it happened a couple of weeks ago but the orders were there okay.

Ah! That'll be the reason then. Thanks so much for that as various times I've noticed items are not the full price for claims.

A wee update on my 2 orders: One placed in the early hours of Saturday, 10 Nov and the other in the early hours of Sunday, 11 Nov for the Galaxy Tab 2. Tesco are having a major IT problem over the last couple of days and I phoned them yesterday and spoke with a lovely person who promised to phone this morning which she did and they were still having a problem but she promised to call again this afternoon and she kept her promise and phoned to say that both items were in the store for collection so well done to Tesco! I've certainly never had any problems with collections from the Tesco Direct desk as my items have always been there very quickly and by the time and date they stated. No text message received which I've always had but probably due to their current problem or the fact that someone has already let me know. 10 out of 10 to Tesco! I'll update to say if I've got a Delivery Note or receipt of any sort for the Samsung offer. If not I'll be sending Tesco a message to request a confirmation email. Strange that they have a problem when there is such a good offer on and people do not get confirmation emails. I know some people have received their emails so hopefully there will be no problem with claiming the £50 cashback from Samsung. Remember to put the dates in your diary, everyone and keep all your paperwork required to hand as with the run up to Christmas things may get a bit hectic and these things can be forgotten about. I think, from memory, the £50 will go back onto the card used to purchase the tablet or possibly a cheque if paid for in cash at a store. Thanks again everyone for your help with this and to OP for listing such a fab bargain! :T

For anyone having payment problems on the Tesco Direct try using a different browser. I swapped from Chrome to Firefox after having repeated problems and it went through first time.

This has to be a real bargain, especially with the £50 cashback from Samsung and anything from Topcashback too.

I don't think so, would seem a bit cheeky to ask since I didn't technically pay for it yet - but it hasn't been 30 days anyway, I bought them October 19th.
