ASDA parking charge for Mother and Child area

Any thoughts on this please:
Wife drives to ASDA to shop and collect waiting 6yr old Grandson from her son. Parks in Mother & Child 'slot' in anticipation - leaves expensive childseat in boot of car.
On return finds a PCN from TCP under windscreen wiper. No TCP agent in vicinity. Wife fits childseat. loads grandson and returns home extremely upset. ASDA denies any involvement with TCP (apart from them acting as agents).
Question: What proof would TCP have in any court hearing (assuming I ignore their demands) that an 'offence' had been committed. Do they have photographic evidence to back their claim?
Appreciate your thoughts and comments - apart from notices, the ASDA carpark is 'free' to all users.

For an offence to be committed you need to have broken a law.
There's no law relating to parking on private land.
TCP would not only have no proof, they cannot actually bring a court claim against someone regarding land they don't own themselves.
The landowner, should they wish to pursue it, can claim for actual financial losses incurred. I am assuming its a free car park?
I love the bit where ASDA ignores the law of vicarious liability and states that TCP are their agent and in the same breath denies any involvement. Oh dear lads!
Ignore all the tickets and letters. Eventually they'll give up and go away.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
Nothing will happen - TCP are just scammers and you are quite safe to ignore if you want. There are many threads here about them and the Letter chain threads will give you an idea of what to expect.
And there is no such thing as photographic evidence in the context of private parking and Parent and Child spaces have absolutely no legal meaning whatsoever.0 -

I park my van in mother & baby all the time when possible - avoids 'Asda rash' on the old girl.0 -

I do hope you will be boycotting ASDA from now on. They know this is a scam but allow it to continue.0

No TCP agent in vicinity..
No chance, they would crawl back under the rock they hide under.
I've actually seen the lesser spotted TCP agent in the Asda car park near me, scurrying about nervously in case anyone sees him.
Like a squirrel only not as cute.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
TCP have never ever done court.0

It really annoys me when people without kids park in a child's bay. Good on them for giving you a fine and anyone else who breaks this rule! :T0
