It's not a fine and it's a money making scam rule ..and if you read the OP post ..surely any person collecting a young child isn't breaking the rule anyway ...now be on your way TROLL !

That's if she's being truthful. A lot of people leave a empty car seat in the back of their car just so they can park in child spaces.
I have two baby sons and it annoys me every time the child rows are full and I have to struggle parking in a very small bay, opening the doors a fraction trying to get my sons out.

The bays are not called 'I'm better than everyone else parking bay' they are 'Child bays'...

If the bays are too small perhaps you should park in a disabled bay instead ..after all mental disability qualifies a person to park in such a bay ...:rotfl:

And your what makes you think the OP is telling lies? Do you have some special knowledge about the OP or are you just guessing?

Really? 'A lot' you say. How many? Where and when did you carry out your survey and what was the sample size? Did you repeat the survey and get similar results? Did you survey in one carpark or many? I assume you have lots of documentation to prove your assertion, or are you just guessing?

Well here's a suggestion. Park across two normal bays, if you get a PCN from the local PPC goon ignore it, the white lines have no legal meaning. No reasonable person would have a problem with you doing that for the sake of keeping your children safe.

What in her post brings you to conclude she might be lying ?

I have three children and I'm quite capable of parking and getting them all out within a normal space. One of the big problems is people buying these big 4x4 the moment they have a child - there's no need. Most can't even drive or park them properly. You only need to look at the parking around schools to see that a majority of parents lose their ability to park properly once they have children !

Actually, "Unfit Parent Bay" would be the most accurate term of all.

The US psych construct of "Mom Time" that spawned these spaces back in the early 90s assumes that you need validation for your empty little life by handing over responsibility for your child to the stores concerned.

So if you really have that little care or concern for your children, why not do them and the rest of us a favour by keeping your ignorance to yourself and getting shot of your kids into care?

His daughters are grown up anyway, and don't even talk to him anymore, since he did the dirty on mum. So I don't know what his problem is.

Sorry, have I got the wrong end of the stick there?

It's not just their ability to park that goes, many (not all, but quite a few in my experience) parents seem to lose all respect for other people once they have produced a child. They expect the rest of us to overlook their badly behaving offspring in restaurants and other public places. They seem to think that producing a child is a great attchievment - it's not, animals do it all the time, it's what our bodies are designed to do.

A family with well behaved, polite children is a delight to see. A family of selfish people, parents and offspring are nothing more than a sad indication of where our country is heading.

Ah, you suspect another pork related fake ID?

What a sad man. I guess he's not got many fake parking tickets to process these days.....

Perhaps Aldi have an opening for a shelf stacker,

  • Thanks to all those who gave me constructive advice on the issue. Although sad to see there are a few bad-minded souls out there.
Anyway, after hours of reading, I decided to complain to the manager of the ASDA store. He totally accepted that the TCP Agent was over zealous in his actions, and failed in almost every aspect of his duty. I was invited to the store, with PCN in hand, also wife and grandson. He cancelled the PCN there and then on the stores database. Common sense, it seems, lives somewhere in this declining country of ours.

It really annoys me when people without kids park in a child's bay. Good on them for giving you a fine and anyone else who breaks this rule! :T

I ASSUME YOU DID NOT READ MY POST CORRECTLY - My wife (60+) was collecting her grandson from his father within the store. She needs the extra pace provided to load a heavy car seat and control an excited toddler. ASDA fully accepts this, why don't you !!!
