Potterton Gold 24HE A is a decent enough boiler. Its a slightly cheaper version of the Baxi Duotec 24.............same boiler, different badges. For a price on these have a look at Mr Central Heating...............reasonable prices and very good service. No, im not affiliated in any way.

The following were recommended. Any thoughts helpful

    Ideal Logic 24Kw Combi Boiler

Potterton Promax 28HE Plus Combi Boiler Pack

Baxi Duo-tec 24 HE Combi Boiler Pack
  • I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.
  • The Ideal logic is a good boiler I'd look at a 30Kw no matter which brand some currently running seven year warranties:j

& we don't know what the prob with it was, so until then we can't really comment, i fit them all the time & i don't get any problems with them, all boiler makes will have a problem at some stage & until i start to get probs with Remeha i will continue to fit & recommend them

Certainly can comment: I use more than one forum so am aware of issues with various boilers. Forewarned is forearmed. Have never relied on one brand to the inclusion of all others;)

yes i know you are as am I, & i am fully aware of the issues you are talking about but even with those we only know the fault codes not what is actually wrong with them, & with regard to your point & some of the probs with other makes that is true as i said all manifacturers have probs at one stage or another & one prob with the biggest manifacturer that actually could be a major safety issue. every RGI will have his boiler of choice ie if you are a accredited WB installer or a Valliant accredited installer then you aren't going to recommend or fit anything but those so you will rely on only one brand but it doesn't mean that these are the best boilers just the make that you fit, i for one don't go into the merchant on a monday morn & see what they have on offer that week & fit that then next week fit another boiler because that's the one on offer, i know what works for me & my customers & Remeha are a boiler that i have only had one call back on in the 8 yrs that i have been fitting them so that says to me that they are realiable & thats the most important thing to me & my customers.
