Well i had £50k for around the last 8 years, not 13.

But when it switched from goldfish to barclaycard i did have it. Should barclaycard have made sure when the purchased the portfolio that the ppi policys were relevant? This what i mean, where does the liability lay?

So a mis-selling complaint from 2000 can only be based on your financial circumstances at the time
Expect a rejection on this one!

I was self employed in 2000 though when I took out the morgan stanley card and had only been in the job for a matter of months.

We will see what happens I guess. There are quite a few factors to consider for them.

I was not wanting to complain about the morgan stanley card, i wanted to complain about the barclay card, they just had the account number for the morgan stanley card and said that the barclaycard account would be linked to that.

Most PPI did cover the self employed.
You really are stretching back a little too far with this complaint.

But i wanted to complain about the barclaycard account.

I will update when i hear anything, fingers crossed! I am a glass half full kind of guy, so i think i will.

Also, if they reject i will threaten to pull my money out from them and see what happens then.

I really can't see them responding positively to that, given that they've already upheld to the tune of some £££s.
Post back when you have further info, this thread is over for now...

One thing though, i did not want to claim for the morgan stanley or goldfish card to be honest.

I just wanted to complain about the barclaycard that i had from 2005-2010, when i did have the £50k as i really did not need the ppi but they told me that i had to use the original morgan stanley account number and they could trace it all from that.

Just thought that I would update this.

I called barclaycard today and they have upheld my complaint for the Morgan Stanley/Goldfish/Barclaycard account!

Not sure of the amount yet, but it is good news! It was upheld on the day that it hit the 40 days since the start of the complaint.
