Thanks! My first question was about the amount you claim back, but somebody answered that for me, turns out it's £12 per year? Now sure where to send the letter off to though....0 -

I sent it to the tax office address on my payslip, but I don't know if all employers include that information? Is there an address on your latest P60?
I asked for a cheque for previous years that I hadn't claimed for, and I was sent one pretty quickly.
Also, I think that the amount you get depends on the agreement HMRC have reached with the employer, as some occupations get more than £12 because it takes more washing I assume.Mortgage Free November 2018

Thank you again!
I did have a look of DH's payslip and P60, but no address listed there, so I guess I'll be doing some Googling!
Thanks for all the help, and the quick responses0 -

Watching the new Location Location Location - the prices of flats in London! And especially the price compared to the size!:eek::eek:
Not gonna lie, was dreaming of the future and possibly being in London, having a mortgage that size... That would be about 6-8 times what we owe now!0 -

I agree - shocking:eek: I can't get my head around how people can possibly afford to live in and around the capital, however I suppose the earnings must be astronomical also. I love LLL:heart2:February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D

Yep, I'm now wondering how people live there! No wonder they have high-flying jobs, they need to have them!
Today is first day back at uni. I'm so excited! I better get off here or I'm going to be late, still have to have breakfast, make lunch, dry hair, pack bag before 8.300 -
Uni went well. Posted on September Support thread about what I did today money wise. Tired!
Haven't stopped moving since I got in, lots of people asking me for advice about things, cooking dinner for tonight and lunch tomorrow. Tomorrow was meant to be a day off by supervisor wants me in. G00gle have sent me email about applying for internship, so running about getting CV sorted, but tbh don't know if it's the right format etc. Worried!
In the next couple of weeks I need to:- Finish CV
- Research info for application
- Pack for Belfast!
- Finish models and write up for paper
- Start studying/writing up notes for uni!
- Stick to spending budget
- Set money aside for MOT and car tax
That's all I can think of for now. I'm sure the list will grow0
