I think I just need to remember it's a marathon, not a sprint - as I've heard somebody on here say before.
14 days til payday. Sigh.
Dentist tomorrowWaiting to see how expensive that turns out! My wisdom teeth are giving me bother.
Cheque to deposit at bank tomorrow, really grudge paying for parking to go to my bank, no local branches. Thinking of opening up Halifax Rewards account, and then that bank is local and free to use, then transfer over to main bank.
Does anyone have any links to find out more information on shares and how that all works?
Have been lurking about and not posting as I feel a bit.. blaah.
I think once I'm busy again I'll be floating along quite happily but now I'm boooooored. Can't wait for uni. It's going to be hectic!0 -
Dentist - expensive and sore. Not sure how much that will affect OPs for next month0

Nice and full after dinner
Back to dentist on MondayNeed to go though, filling that's been done feels dodgy, need to see if they can fix it or see why it's hurting
Got our yearly mortgage statement today, made for interesting reading! Had a mini freak-out, saw a redemption administration fee on the mortgage and was like this ->
I was so careful to read all T&Cs, and didn't understand how this had been charged, even on the fixed rate the T&Cs were that we could only make OPs of up to £500 pcm, and we definitely hadn't reached that.
Tried to phone, department closed.
Searched for it on their website - and found that this is the fee that would be added if we were to pay our mortgage in full now. Oops0 -
Nice and chilled out day today, slight, teeny tiny bit of snow.
Bought some clothes in online sale as I really need a few basics.
Have spend the afternoon trying to list what meals we can eat so I can continue with meal planning, drawing a serious blank here.
This is all I have so far:
chilli con carne
basic pizza
risotto
paella
chicken noodle soup
curry
stir fry mix
shepard's pie
cottage pie
macaroni cheese
omelette
spicy lentil soup
gnocchi
hamburgers
chickenburgers
sausage casserole
baked potatoes
And I'll need to make 2 of everything as partner and I are our own unique brands of fussiness that don't combine. Yay.
If anyone has any more ideas, please, please jump in.

when I'm meal planning and cooking from scratch I tend to work on a themed basis for inspiration as much as anything else e.g
1) Roast (e.g. chicken dinner)
2) Pasta (chicken pesto pasta)
3) Rice (chilli & rice)
4) Cheap n Cheerful (jacket spud, beans on toast, soup & sandwich etc)
5) veggie (bean enchiladas, veggie fajitas)
6) fakeaway (stir fry, duck pancakes etc)
7) fish (fish and chips, fish pie)know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

Hmm, good idea. Problem being the OH does not like any vegetables apart from carrot and sometimes mushroom depending on his mood. Or seafood. So from that list he would eat, chicken dinner, jacket spud, soup + sandwich and nothing else.

One meal I make regularly - lasagne.
Got some beef stew/casserole in the slow cooker at the moment. Might add some dumplings later.0 -

How did I miss lasagna? Oh dear! Love it
Beef casserole sounds really tasty, will need to add to the list too.
Thank you!0 -
Nice and chilled out day today, slight, teeny tiny bit of snow.
Scotland's been RUBBISH with it's attempts to snow, so far this year. I mean c'mon, doesn't the urgent need for a few snow days mean anything?
Personally, I think it's rude and inconsiderate of our weather.
PS your meal planning is missing the vital ingredient of chips:DFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D
