Issued a ticket by Conkai Security

Hi, first post here, hoping you guys can give me some solid advice in the very confusing world of private parking tickets!
I have been issued a "Parking Charge Notice" by a company called Conkai Security that operates in Oxford. The ticket was issued in a residential area and was issued because I was not parked within a numbered bay. To be totally honest I didn't look around for signs when I parked up because the area doesn't look you could be fined for parking incorrectly (not that I knew I was parking incorrectly at the time)
to see the some pictures of where I parked and the notice copy and paste the following URL imgur.com/a/TUvF0 (also add www. not allowed to post links as a new user) I parked where I have marked the big red square
I think if I was to appeal the ticket I would say that I don't believe the area I parked in to be an "Access Road" (like the sign says) however if this doesn't stand up on its own then what am I to do, I still believe it isn't fair that they can charge me money like this. It's a quiet estate and I wasn't in anyone's way.
Reading about these private companies makes feel like I shouldn't pay just out of principle, am I in the right to feel this way and realistically what will happen if I don't pay and refrain from all forms of communication?
Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated
Many thanks

They are lying , they are not in the BPA AOS which means they cannot access the dvla database for your address, so just ignore this as they cannot do anything if you don't contact them. If they do write to you they have got your details illegally from elsewhere, meaning someone has sold on your details. If that happens please come back to us.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

Bet it's a couple of Uni students called Connor and Kai, making a fast buck!:rotfl:
I was in Oxford seeing my son at the weekend and also parked in a small private car park which was practically empty and was in the road he lives in - I then moved onto the street once the bay restrictions had ended so didn't inconvenience anyone. Wish I had collected a Conkai Security 'ticket' though - it would have made my day and we'd all have had a chuckle about it!
You must ignore this as the made-up 'firm' cannot get DVLA access. You write and you'll be giving them your name & address on a plate which you'd never do for a phishing emailer - this is similar to that. Forget it.
P.S. just Googled them and they are ex-clampers (with no DVLA access). Lucky you didn't park there in September when clamping was stilll legal, I bet they are spitting feathers about their little con being stopped now, they can't get their easy cash any more. Anyone with enough nous to Google the unenforceability of private parking tickets will know not to pay CONKAI SECURITY.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

just follow the above. ignore is the key they will go away once they sense they won't get your! money. make sure you read all the stickys and other threads to learn about these scammers. there are hundreds on here who have seen it through and have managed to keep their own money. a ticket from police or council should not be ignored. have a good day and soon you repost on here with smiles how you didn't part with your moneyThe word about the scammers is spreading like marmite here in the westcountry.
We workers all love it and the ppc hate it :rotfl:0 -
