like i said get me checked, what i said in post 19 is true, long time lurker but new user of the site, sorry i don't conform to expectations, not a lot i can do about that, i'm not going to leave just because someone with a different opinion who has been here longer doesn't like what i say.

By a number, 3 is the exact number, not that many i'd warrant, but all those reported were bigoted and or against the rules of the forum

But you think it is fine to keep reporting posts from someone with a different opinion to you?

By the way you do realise how much time and resources has to be spent to look at all your reports of abuse? Be sure it is actual abuse not simply something YOU don't like before you press the button.

If we all reported posts because we didn't like them, then it would bring down MSE:rotfl:MSE would think it was under a cyber-attack!:rotfl:
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

You get a clue from that posters name "mara"

    I like that.

OP, of all the 'groups' that claim benefits (i.e., single people, couples, etc) those with children are one of the wealthiest on benefits. As krisskross has already pointed out, you'll not starve.

Well you might be sanctioned for up to 26 weeks.

Luckily having children means that you'll be quids in :)

I think what Mara is saying is relevant to the OP, due to the generous benefit system that we have in this country the OP will be entitled to have her housing costs paid for and get £1235 every month for not working. I dont blame anyone for getting their entitlement but i do think the system is over generous.

    Her post was factual.

OP should have been panicking if no children or only 1, but with 3 she will get enough in benefits to tie her over. I could very easily run my 5 bed home and pay my mortgage (admitedly it is small) on that amount of money. Add the SMI and CTB and £284 pw is a lot of money for a family of 4. This is because she has children.

2 adults would give £111 pw - it may have been blunt - but the fact reamins that lone parents are given more in benefits that singletons. You have read nastiness into a post that wasn't there. The poster may be sarcastic (as thinks that benefits are too high) but is wasn't personal to OP or being argumentative, merely saying don't worry as you have kids you'll be OK.

She should NOT resign though and needs to get an agreement from her employer on grounds of redundancy to avoid sanctions.

thing is when you have children and you are in danger of losing your job you don't think 'oh it's ok i have kids i'll get loads of benefits' well most wouldn't, they'd panic!

you put the numbers in the calculator HERE
then see what benefits you should get
    FWIW

it told me I could get CTC and CTB (after the Job Centre told me i wouldn't get anything as my partner works) and I've applied :j just waiting to hear about CTC. For me every little helps, specially now my JSA has run out and I can't claim anything else.
there's even a 'what if' bit you can fiddle the numbers to see what happens if you work 15 hours or over etc.
Oh, Don't forget to put in for FSM although don't expect it to be much...

Perhaps as a newbie you shouldn't immediately start misunderstanding posts and being so trigger happy with the abuse button.
