If they don't already have one get them a chess set. When you walk into someones home and see a chess set you know you're dealing with one of life's winners.0

Taboo

Where you have a word you have to describe to your team mate but a list of "taboo" words, you can't say. You do need 4 or more to play but it is a hoot. Played it every Christmas for donkeys in our house! The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

How about crib (cribbage), they may be too young to be aware of it, but may also know older rellies that love the game.
Very competitive, uses the grey matter, and very British.
Letting slip you can play crib is kudos in certain circles - I knew a best mate for around 3+ years before we both got round to mentioning how we both liked a game, then it was crib every Saturday, 5p a hole to the winner.;)
One for his nob!!!

Second Cranium.
How about Taboo?
Or similar to Cranium my friends had a version of Taboo which had different tasks and came with 'Bendy Bob' and you had to act out the action with Bendy Bob.
Or Rummikub?0 -
