This is what Ryanair wanted to do from the very beginning.
Next they will be charging you to visit their website.
This makes no sense whatsoever... If it's what Ryanair wanted to do from the beginning, then they would have done so from the beginning...dalesrider wrote: »So much for clear you have to click on a link. Which takes you to their page with ALL their charges on.
Another person unable to read I see...
The advert referred to says, "FARE INCLUDES A £6 ADMIN FEE WHICH CAN BE AVOIDED IF YOU PAY WITH RYANAIR'S CASH PASSPORT". You don't have to click on any link to find out what that means (unless you're an idiot?) - it means that the fare is £18, or £12 if you use a Cash Passport.0 -
2. Many companies these days charge admin/booking fees.
If my local theatre charges a booking fee on tickets for a visiting show, this is because the performer gets the ticket money, so the booking fee is needed so that the theatre gets something.
In the case of someone like Ryanair, they are getting both the booking/admin fee and the ticket money. :cool:0 -
Don't forget the check-in and carry-on charge.
Personal weight limit. I think it's only a matter of time before they ask you how much you weigh, and levy a surcharge on that, per kg! They will probably use Michael O'Leary's weight as the threshold, so everybody has to pay.0 -

And why does it state that? Because Ryanair were made to put it there by the OFT and pressure to comply with the law.
On the next screen the prices are shown without the admin fee and it is added as a note at the bottom.
If this is all so clear, why don't Ryanair just include it in the flight prices all the time then rather than have an 'admin fee' at all? Customers do not care about an airline's administration, just a ticket price they have to pay.0 -

I own a newish Megane and the computer in it tells me that I do, on average 43MPG.
Thats 4.5 Litres meaning at an average £1.37 per litre I am paying £6.16 a gallon which equates to about 15 pence per mile.
This afternoon I am heading to Poland and the ticket cost (including admin fee) £21
The distance to Poland is about 950 miles (and involves no driving for me)
That equates to paying just 2 pence per mile, for someone to fly me to Eastern Europe.
......Or am I missing something?0 -

Yes. While you can't compare directly anyway, your car transports 5 people, so that's 3ppm each if your 15ppm is correct. Ryanair planes transport 180 people, so the total cost is 360ppm.
I still don't understand all this fuss. When BA allows me to fly to Europe for under £40, then we can talk.0 -
I hope the "no hidden fee" campaigners are happy now.
Because now no-one can avoid this £6 fee whereas anyone could before, for a little bit of extra work0 -
I thought new law has been brought in to curb this?
Ryanair charged me £5 for online booking fee at Fez Airport. When I discovered they did not have this facility at the airport I challenged the Airline and all I got was a £5 refund. They are daylight robbers.0
