Just in case anyone is interested, I cancelled my card yesterday withtout any problems, I just sent them an email.
I managed to spend all the balance (left 3p), but they donate any remaining balance to UNICEF when a card is cancelled.0 -
Was just trying to top up my cash passport and realising how much hassle it is, then came across this page. I'd love to cancel it as cheaply as I can. I have €34.pence left on the card at the moment. Are you guys saying if I go withdraw €30 from an ATM or spend it in a shop, and then send an email to cancel the card, that will be that?0

Yes, that's it. But don't take it from a cash machine, that's not free... if you spend it in a shop, that's free.0
