DD&D says she will be back in the forum next week, she has an eye infect and needs to put in ointment and can't see the computer. Sends love to all0
-
At least she's accounted for, thanks Mar. Sorry to hear about your eye DD&D. By, what rotten luck we're all having lately.
I love war time cook books too. It is astounding what you can rustle up with store cupboard ingredients. Except I'm cross withmyself as I haven't got bicarb so can't play today0 -
I'm a Rainbows leader and NEED to know how to do this relay race
Is it like the balloons under the chin game?
It was part of a cupcake challenge and they have a few other things to do before they get the badge including making a cupcake shaped pincushion. The bun fight was screwedd up newspaper taped into a paper cake case and then they split into two teams and threw them at each other. the winning team was the one with least buns on their side at final whistle.0 -
Lots of sympathetic thoughts and hugs going to all poorlies _pale_and people looking after them:T. And special hugs to those who cant sleep at night, hope you will all soon be feeling better.
I was beginning to lookforward to Christmas, now I've finally decided and got turkey crown in deep freeze. But, sods law, yesterday OH got letter from hospital with appointment next week for pre-op information, so dont know what stages he will be going through in next few months. He is in a lot of discomfort/pain, and getting up 4 - 5 times at night now, and sitting with a hottie on his tummy during the day, so sooner they get it fixed the better.
MrsLW please give Docky a kiss from me and a lick from Archie. We sympathise about squizzels, who dig up our lawn to bury the peanuts supposed to be for the birds. If only they would grow .(The peanuts, not the sqiizzels:eek:)
Think I might try that !!!!!! gingercake recipe at the weekend as fandamily are visiting, and should polish it off quickly.
Its nice bright day here so think I'll nip out and get the last of my primulas planted out, so the rain tonight will settle them in (if not too heavy). :wave:0 -
Byatt I happen to agree with your signature. The last sentence resonates with where I am at the minute. I'm only just seeing it.
I keep saying if we move. We have the house, that was agreed with DH the other day. I say if because I don't know the terms until tomorrow and obviously haven't signed anything yet. What I do know is that we will be part of a scheme that allows you to rent the house until you're in a position to buy - or you move on etc. If you buy you get 20% back of the rent you've paid back to put towards the cost of the house. That feels like a massive start back onto rebuilding and DH and I will be saving as much as we can to get a deposit together when the time comes.
Now it's relevant to Byatt's signature because when my mam finds out we're moving and how far away - not really far but she gets the bus and will be confused (drink) to go to a place she does not know so just won't bother. Therefore it will be all 'me, me, me' with her for taking her grand daughters away not for one second think about the opportunity that has presented itself to us.Upset a toxic person, and they’ll be shooting infuriating drama-baits your way
mmmmhumm. That's what will happen. I just not gotta play0 -
Lots of nasty bugs on planes at the moment so stock up on zinc lozenges and nose spray before you fly!
Hmm good point - let's hope the bugs can't afford business(note - it isn't my money being used to pay for flight. I wouldn't waste money that way!!) Maybe if I eat lots of chilli laden Kimchi while i'm there it'll sweat the bug (gers) out (wot dya fink Possession??:p)
Have a busy run around morning - just snatching 5 for a coffee. Done school run, farm shop and dropped a form off at DD's old school, got Ald! run and Mr M for some bits i can't get or don't like from A, a short apppointment and yoga before lunch. Farm shop was fab - tons of stuff for £7! I couldn't believe it. No washing today for once - an advantage of having a 7.5kg machine. I feel a bit lost that I don't have any!
Have a gooden and s'latersI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
VJsMum I can't do it any more I'm a chilli wuss compared to my youthful days!
Fuddle hope the house works out, but don't worry about your mum. She will come around, ignore her until she does.
Byatt I 'think' you can do the voucher exchange and frozen food instore, but I've never done it. Pretty sure i've read about other people doing it, but you might want to ring your store to be safe.0 -
Possession, what were you doing while you were oversees? Where did you go?0

Morning All, how is everyone? I have my car sorted thankfully. I need to flush the coolant system but the garage (which are fully booked) explained how to do it and have given me some of the stuff to do it and didn't charge me! Regarding little ones and working, as some of you know I have a 2nd job on a tarot line this seems very popular with Mum's as they can fit it to suit themselves. The down side obviously is you can't guarantee what you will be paid as it depends on how many readings you do. One of my friends a few years ago (to fit around her kids) worked as a dinner lady, a cleaner for various people, Avon lady and a dog walker. She was shattered but they needed the extra money.
I'm glad its friday, been naughty already (I had an excuse as trains were off so it was replacement coaches in rush hour) and had a bacon roll for brekkie.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -
Byatt It's not just online. You can exchange and use the vouchers in store.
